not that there’s anything wrong w/ that … learned to play one in 4th grade …. wonderful windwood
It is my childhood all over again. No, I’m not that old. But I did spend a great deal of time fishing with my grandpa.
Going back to my childhood…..
First heard Stardust by Willie Nelson on his Stardust LP in 1978…
Always mesmerizing
Still, your mix and intro reminds me of the AM station I grew up listening to.
Yes they were Top 40 but they played the hits of bygone years too…
in fact, where I first heard this jewel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuoiK1TEAUY
Have you listened to the intro?
Matt has the golden pipes.
Click the black player at the top of the post.
(Could be next thing. Guess the Voice!)
I just found some really cool Kazoo shit.
You will not be deejaying ^ lol
Dang it!
Yes to this! Great intro + 3!
Former DJ, now Voice Actor, RadioMattM whispers sweet nothings in my ear every night.
And he has great musical taste.
I’ll see his sweet nothings and raise it to sweet sumptins.
You like New Yawk accents?
Honestly, not just saying this, but I enjoyed this stack a lot.
I love Artie Shaw.
😎
This one would be a low-brow selection. I figured it’s late enough I can slip it in.
Took the Benny Goodman CD, driving in the Ozarks, two lane road winding through and around the foothills.
Took my friend home in Decatur Illinois (a shithole, with welfare thugs blaring Rap Crap) Drove through the public housing units with the volume turned as high as it would go.
They looked at us like we were aliens. In Decatur, we were.
Reminds me of my father. Pops had a great ear for music.
I like ’em!
I did say I was old, did I not?
Ok. All four were most enjoyable. Perfection, really. Thank you 😊
OOOOhhhh, RadioMattM! Big Band was the best American “Pop” music ever composed. So love every orchestra’s unique sound. Sing, Sing, Sing is a personal favorite. And no one could do it better than Goodman. This piece is featured (with lyrics) in the 1938 film, “After The Thin Man”.
My best friend’s dad was an east coast Big Band leader who played everything. On Friday/Saturday nights we’d often go with him just to listen. One night at a hotel in Seattle we were the “girl sing-grs” for a couple of tunes. We were just high school kids at the time. Great memories.
Thanks, RMM!

Love the big band swing, but was always distracted with the sound quality of “rice crispy orchestra” (snap crackle & pops) in the old recordings. Love the clean sound of digitized Glenn Miller.
Melodious voice and entertaining music. Been listening for some time. After listening to the three picks, I put on the hour long Artie Shaw – Greatest Hits. I bookmarked it, too.
Thanks RadioMattM. I hope your wife enjoys your whispering of sweet nothings in her ear!
“Tippin In” sends my feet into a foxtrot weave. ….smile…

Where’s a dance partner when you need one? Love it!
Be still my heart. Oooh, that intro Radio Matt. I love big band sounds. Thanks.
Today’s music is a noisy oxymoron with lyrics for thugs who can’t spell or think.
I loved these. It reminded me of my parents, who loved to dance to this music.
And RadioMattM has a great voice.
Been jammin on 40’s Era on the way to work everyday …
Jazz in the middle of the day
Metal for the ride Home !
I’m weird !!!
I really enjoy this selection! Thanks for posting!
