Defensive about crappy Christmas Tree, Rockefeller Center says it’s because it took 2 days to deliver

The tree that puts a cap on 2020-

NBC’s Today Show says everything will be okay, with a time lapse video that is supposed to assuage our fears.

Looks like crap at the beginning, and looks like crap at the end.

Hope they have 9 tons of tinsel.

  1. …the Bible isn’t really enthusiastic about Christmas trees anyways…

“1 Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.”
    Jeremiah 10:1-4

…kind of seems like what Noo Yawk is doing, at any rate…

  2. As a guardian of the kingdom of plants,
I hereby charge this Pinaceae of the house of Pinales is
criminally harassed, tortured, and enslaved by some assholes in the city of NY. As punishment, may the guilty become sterile, your extremities be riddled with pain, and your asses have an itch which cannot be sated with any ointment or surgical means.

  3. Looking at the tree from the other side, Mark Steyn on Hannity last night – Nov 18- showed the left as messy its branches flying all over the place, no social distancing and full of corona to spread around, while the right side was nicely socially distanced . Feel bad for the owl that was transported in the tree. Probably went to one of Komrade de Blasio’s Old Age hospices.

  4. Let youngest grandchildren pick out your tree. They’ll be so happy, so proud. Oh, and bragging rights. Don’t forget bragging rights. Little ones will proudly tell everyone THEY picked out the tree. They have lotsa time to hone their tree selecting skills. The tree may come home looking like this but by the time it’s decorated no one will know.
