Delaware: Prison sentence given for $1.7 million Food Stamp Fraud

Breitbart: A former Delaware convenience store owner will spend the next 14 months in prison, starting next week, for carrying out a $1.7 million food stamp fraud scheme.

A judge sentenced Debasish Muhuri to prison last month after he pleaded guilty in June to a charge of unauthorized use of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

Prosecutors dropped the other three charges against him but ordered Muhuri to pay back the $1.7 million he stole from the federal government. read more

  2. The usual penalty for fraud was TREBLE (triple) damages in restitution.

    Where’s the deterrent?! Plus I’m quite certain the money has flown to a shithole in Asia.

  3. Catching small fish can be fun. Some people make a sport of catching extremely small fish. Known as Bitterling, or Tanago (タナゴ 釣り方) in Japan or simply Micro-fishing.

    But more often most people would like to see the Big Fish caught, landed, and made to pay. Hillary-fish, Comey-fish, and associated just to name two.

    Or sell off his business, properties, cars, etc.
    The minute he gets out of jail, I’m sure he’ll be on a plane to the Chakakahn Republic.
