Dem Senator Candidate Says He Expects the Media To Protect Him From Ethics Complaints

USSANews-

Democratic Senate candidate John Hickenlooper told a local television station it should be “protecting” him from an ethics complaint alleging that he improperly received gifts as governor of Colorado.

“You guys should be protecting me on stuff like this, where there’s no clear—how could there be—what’s the confusion, that I had a private meeting?” Hickenlooper said during an interview with KUSA. In the interview, he discussed a Colorado Independent Ethics Commission (CIEC) investigation into a 2018 complaint alleging that he had accepted travel perks, including free jet rides, from friends while he was governor.

  1. The Press have been protecting Dems since Teddy murdered that girl. They had a momentary laps when they went after Gary Heart but he dared them to. There would not be a Democratic party today if the Press did a full throttle investigation and just mocked House members like Hank “Guam may capsize” Johnson.

  2. Of course he expects that he had EIGHT years in CO as Gov rarely being anywhere near the media and the media didn’t bother questioning where he was either. He is the awe shucks nice guy dem that acts like he has no clue he was upsetting anyone. That was part of the reason I knew there was no way no matter who supported him he’d do well – he has never had to answer a tough question. This is the same guy that hands the phone to an assistant if someone asks him something he doesn’t like and can’t respond to.

  3. what’s the problem here?

    he is a professional politician

professionals get paid for what they do.

    we know he got paid.

now tell us what he did to get paid?

how much of our tax money was used or what public policies were implemented by this professional politician in order for him to be paid?

  4. I have two things:
@Wiredog1837 – there is a Republican party in CO, the problem is that it is run by Bush / Romney style centrists, and not conservatives that are willing to fight.
I worked for a company that brought him in as a speaker. He was very good (at the time) at promoting capitalism and working. Then, he became a Democrat, and now he is a (insert favorite adjective here)
