Democrats Finally Have Something to Grab a Hold of As DOGE Rocks Their World

Daily Dot

A 19-year-old recently revealed as an employee of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) appears to have once gone by the moniker “Big Balls” on LinkedIn.

Over the weekend, WIRED revealed the names of several DOGE employees—who are barely old enough to vote—auditing the government.

Among them was Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old fresh out of high school.

According to WIRED, Coristine attended calls with civil servants, reviewed their code, and asked workers to justify their jobs to DOGE. More

  1. I hope these wunderkinder are not without oversight. While I applaud their efforts, someone who has the benefit of real world experience needs to be around to tell them, “All mushrooms are edible, though some can be eaten only once.”

  2. …I kinda need to agree with the Dems a little bit here. Im pushing 60 with decades of experience behind me, and I would likely roll my toolbox out the door if they sent a 19 yo to judge me as only kids can do.

But then, I have a marketable, skill set that needs experience to develop thats proved every day by practical, quantifiable results.

…not sure thats the case in Washington at the Office Of Navel Gazing And Hating Whitey…

  3. Oh look, there’s smelly Rick Wilson. Mention balls and he crawls out from under his rock. How long before they find out the Federal Government has been supporting the Lincoln Project. I’m thinking a matter of days. Little Balls Rick Wilson needs to be locked up.

  4. ‘“Big Balls” on LinkedIn. ‘

…this actually is pretty immature. LinkedIn is not Facebook, its meant as a tool to present your professional face to potential employers and network with other pros in your industry.

Retarded screen names are not the best way to present yourself to a large group of prospective bosses.

  5. @SNS….but can you code? When your computer system goes kaput…who are you going to call. “Big Balls” the coding genius or a plumber.

The right person for the job…screw the age, sex, skin color, gender(s) etc etc etc. Isn’t this why DEI has been an abject failure and we have catastrophic air flight disasters.

Don’t be so ageist you old fart. (I’m an old fart to so I can say it)

  6. The kids in the bunch are the autist computer geeks. They are looking for things in the IT infrastructure that are hidden and deliberately concealed. Reporting a payment to one NGO when the routing of the payment is something different. They’re finding such too.

    “@SNS….but can you code? ”

…absolutely. I program industrial robots, integrate SCADA/HMIs in multi-PLC cells, maintain highly regulated control systems, tune PID loops on analog control valves, and manage a fleet of robotic, laser guided vehicles among other things. I know OSs from DOS to Win11 and a bunch of proprietary code specific to industrial servos besides.

“Ageist” works BOTH ways. It is not correct to assume old dudes cant code either.

And MY code experience has real-world outputs that can easily kill people if not done correctly.

NOT the type of coding they teach at Wattsamatta U where the focus is on information systems and Web design…

  8. I was LOL-ing at the news this evening w/the opinionators discussing the moniker out loud. Seriously?! You care about a teenager’s screen name more than large scale fraud and theft in government institutions? Thanks for making your priorities obvious.

On the flip side, I saw a clip of Joy Reid spelling out the name! “Big B-A-L-L-S” Um, Joy: it’s not a bad word. In fact, there’s a big foot B-A-L-L game happening this weekend. So, what we have here is the Queen of Cancel Culture outing herself as someone who actually does understand that context matters. But I’m sure there are fine people on both sides of the issue…

    “SNS

Your employer should invest into a couple seat of RoboDK.”

    Shhh, dont tell them!

…seriously, my boss is a literal Scot, one that proves the stereotype about stinginess.

If they COULD get rid of me, they WOULD.

And our entire enineering team too.

…but its hard to get the regulators and the auditors from the customers to talk to software products, and high school kids are not noted for their patience with authorities of ANY kind, and dont even get me started on our 35 yo legacy machinery in our building from the 1950s…

  10. …and are you SURE none of these youngsters have the sort of leftist leanings that the young are noted for?

Computers can lie with a straight face humans cant manage, if a human tells them to do so.

And the same skills to find a lie can also create one.

Just as the same skills that uncover digital evidence can be used to bury or plant it.

I really would like to believe in young people who are reliably conservative and honest that can be trusted to be white knight hackers, I would.

…But I dont believe Ive ever met anyone, myself included, who in their youth dont lean left until life beats the foolishness out of them…

  11. It might be the young ones have not yet been poisioned by old farts with bad ideas and habbits. I would have less trust in an old democrat, which is what the democrats would prefer. Someone on their team is exposing tons of buried government BS.

You never met me. Hardcore right out of the womb.
