The New York Times has admitted what the White House, President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth previously affirmed.

Despite the manipulative effort of the original CIA report (Washington Post), which was purposefully intended to undermine the authority and legitimacy of the Trump administration, Secretary Pete Hegseth did not order a second strike on the drug carrying narcoterrorism boat.  The second strike was authorized by General Bradley as part of the mission objective.

Hegseth’s order was to “destroy” the vessel.  The vessel was not completely “destroyed” in the first attack, it was “disabled.” A second attack was ordered independently by General Bradley to render the vessel destroyed and compete the mission.

If the vessel was destroyed the mission was complete. If the vessel was disabled, the mission objective remained active until the vessel was destroyed. This is not complicated to understand. More

  2. The White House went on to say that ‘Admiral (Frank) Bradley worked well within his authority and the law” in ordering the additional strike’. The claim is that the strikes are self-defense because of Americans dying from drug use.

    Give me a break. These attacks are wrong and the attitude of Trump and Hegseth is sick. Over 80 people have died in these attacks; no arrest, no trial. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

    I posted last month that I was against these drug boat bombings, not so much on the legality (although that is a factor) but that I don’t trust our intelligence agencies to get it right. Killing everyone and blowing up the evidence bolsters your assertion that it was a drug boat and not a pleasure or fishing craft.

  9. This is about regime change and everyone knows it. Trump said he was against regime change. He said he would end that practice. But I guess when there’s this much oil and other resources available, all bets are off.

This means the boats being destroyed are carrying the drug, among other drugs. The people running the boats are members of the organization and paid to do the work. The whole operation is run by the crypto marxist government of Venezuela, and the cartel(s) and Venezuelan government cooperate closely with the Marxist government of Columbia in their effort to supply the drugs to THE ENTIRE WORLD not just the USA.

  23. Nothing new under the sun. See Battle of the Bismarck Sea, 4/43, 8 destroyers, 8 marus from Rabaul to reinforce and resupply Lae, New Guinea. Four DD survived, zero marus. Thousands of Jpn troops killed, hundreds in the water within easy reach and rescue from Lae to be faced later in the jungle. Still a threat, so we machine gunned them. By the hundreds. Went all the way up to MacA and maybe even the proto-JCS without too much objection, iirc. Distasteful, to be sure, but this was total war. After many years of Jpn atrocities including shooting aviators in parachutes from the very force that attacked them among many, many other niceties), the pilots were not amused and the gloves came off. After a few early rescues, relatively few Jpn reinforcements made it to Lae (1200/9600, no eqpmt).The Aussies, who did much of the fighting in that area certainly didn’t object.     Facts: The US has not declared war against Venezuela. Venezuelan drug dealers on these boats are in effect pirates encroaching on US territories – an immediate deadly threat, so no Congressional approval is necessary for President Trump to act to protect the US border. That’s already been given since he is Commander in Chief.

    The US President has had the authority since America’s founding to blow up invaders out of the waters bordering the US, until they are a combination of mist, splintered boat particles and, in this case, the cocaine they’re attempting to transport to America’s shores. Good job, President Trump. Carry on!
