While Australia recently ended a gun amnesty program that netted the government 30,000 firearms, RAND Europe reports that Australians have turned to overseas vendors online to acquire the banned weapons.
Sellers ship to their customers down under a part at a time or hidden inside a printer or television in order to evade Australian customs.

That sounds like the Muslim population is doing all the buying.
I was really disappointed to hear the Aussies turned their weapons over to government.
I’d like to think the Aussies would NOT allow their leaders to have such power over them.
The Aussies are strong willed and I hope they have countered the wishes of their pussified government.
My hat’s off to Ted Lovely.(Personal friend from long ago).
@jellybean – Although my sample count is a measly ONE, I do know an Aussie who turned in two guns to the govt to get himself off their list of gun owners. He is still more than adequately armed.
I think we would be surprised of the number of Americans who would comply with such a government mandate.
Naturally, I would lawfully comply if the Volcano hadn’t erupted and the category 10 hurricane hadn’t hit Dayton Ohio last week destroying my one gun that really didn’t work.
Uncle Al, Cato….I hear you.
Never ever give up your guns.
What are these guns you people are talking about?
Were they guarding those guns in the dump truck with some other evil guns?
Expat in Canada – husband registered his gun, despite my wholehearted objections.
Many up here “lost their guns in boating accidents” during hunting season when the registration was still in force.
I sent mine for safe keeping to my Po Po Sergeant Sister in Nebraska.
