And besides all the justly deserved hoopla over the exiting excrement, I also took away another point or two:
-the taxi company is saying that the cabbie isn’t an employee, but an independent contractor, licensed by the city.
-if that’s the case, then what’s all the bad feelings and hub-bub over the operations of Lyft, Uber and SideCar? Are TPTB afraid that they’re not getting their fair share of cuts, kickbacks, and licensing?
