Former Vice President Dick Cheney, a force in Republican politics for over 30 years and one of the most powerful people to hold the second-highest office in the U.S., has died. He was 84.
In a statement, Cheney’s family said he died Monday night of complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, surrounded by his wife of 61 years, Lynne, daughters Liz and Mary and other family members. More

Looking back on it, it is my sincere belief that either Romney or McCain would have done far more damage than Obama and I voted for both.
The legacy of a man should be measured by his effect on those in his sphere of influence. By this standard, Cheney was one of the most damaging, injurious, and destructive politicians we have ever had.
It was his whispers into the ear of Bush, that spread the lies of WMDs and Saddam’s connection with nine-eleven. The amount of treasure and human suffering expended on the Iraq War should be laid squarely at the feet of Bush and Cheney.
Bury him ASAP. He stunk really bad while alive and I don’t want to be in even the same hemisphere after he’s been rotting further for a few days.
Better yet, cremate him. It’ll give him a taste of what’s to come.
Maybe FDR can give him a good reference where he’s going.

We should have known he was evil when the “I’m so proud of my dyke daughter” situation came to light. Cheney is a good example of the Romans 1:32 warning. We should have known.
I’m genuinely stunned that he made it 84. The guy was living on about 1/4 of a heart. Even when he was VP. Cheney certainly didn’t invent the deep state but he did a lot to get it where it is today. And the dyke daughter is smarter than the fat ugly one. How sad.
RIP Dick Cheney. You were a great politician, but a lousy statesman; your daughter was lousy at both.
