  1. Off topic –
I’m not going to make a post out of this, but I’ll drop it in comments.
This was an OBSCURE story found by TheNewChisel and sent to me in an email.
I binged it to see what I could find for the post. It was slim pickins.
No one had the story when I binged it.
I was forced to post a Jerry Springer video.

We rely on the little guys finding these things so we can separate ourselves from the bigs.

I’m not going to mention who this was in the image I’m posting, but we posted it before them.

This happens over and over and over again, where we will post a weird one, a non-ubiquitous one, and then it slowly creeps up to the bigs.
    It sucks.

If this site isn’t on a different time zone, then that would mean the writer put the story together in ten minutes.
    Highly unlikely.
As unlikely as him seeing this story in a Canadian paper all on his own.
I don’t recall seeing this periodical on this site’s radar before.

    Rant off.

    Wait, rant back on.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bellyaching about US exclusively.
Once, JUST ONCE, I’d like to see some of these sites that I know for sure trawl the smaller sites , GIVE A FRIGGIN HAT TIP TO ANY SMALLER SITE.
It would be time for fireworks.

  2. Stay out of the business world,I had 6 ideas stolen. My ideas had to do with the way electronic components are assembled.
Now major manufactures are using my ideas. No one bought them. They stole them. It’s why all smart phones look alike. They steal your ideas.

  3. Regarding the “off topic” comment: I’ve also noticed lately that many times I will see a minor news item on one or two online sites one day, and the next day – lo and behold! – the same story is on the nightly TV news! I think the big media has gotten lazy and are now browsing the Internet for “human interest” story material instead of developing their own sources. And (as was mentioned) no credit is ever given, of course…
