This guy was scuba diving in Crete when he encountered a small, friendly octopus. He excitedly played with the octopus and stroke it with his hand as it swam between his fingers.

If you play with your octopus for too long you could wind up with a face full of ink.
That could cause you to go blind.

Or so I’ve heard.

I do not swim in the ocean because I am not the top of the food chain. Do that with Humboldt squids in the Sea of Cortez and they will pull you down to 1000 feet depth and eat you.

Squid or octopus fried in olive oil and garlic is one of my favorite dishes. The Spanards do it so well.

One of God’s “premiere” creations, IMHO. That and the spider. 😇

They all are premiere. I just use the word “premiere” because my awe factor goes off the charts with a creation such as this.

Octopus was trying to find an opening in that suit to check if the humanoid is edible.

Usually very shy creatures. Maybe this one has Rabies.

I love snorkeling but only tried scuba once. I hyperventilated and went up fast and over to the boat. Tried to get up on the boat, and if the scuba instructor didn’t see me do the stupid move before he grabbed the boat, it would have knocked me out as it quickly drifted over me in about ten feet of Caribbean depth. Never been down again after that.

I sure would love to play with that cute little squid even though as I watched it I could just taste it. Love squid and calamari.
