[…] For starters, one of the issues lies in the fact that Finman has not provided much in the way of information on the device, its origins, and technical specifications. In an interview with the Daily Beast, Finman confirmed that the phone’s operating system, which is called “Freedom OS,” is based on Google’s Android operating system. There’s more

I have no intention of spending $500 for a frikkin phone!
Ya gotta be nuts.
izlamo delenda est …
The first time I saw that ad, I assumed it was an NSA public surveillance operation.
I have a 10 year old $20 flip phone that makes and takes calls. That is all I want and need.
I’m waiting for the Black Rifle phone to come out.
Found a FreedomOS ISO file, linux based. Tried to load it on a desktop. The test/trial loaded and ran, but when I tried to install it, it failed to generate a needed MBR (master boot record) to the hard drive. While I was impressed somewhat with the demo, I was unable to find a way to install it. No amount of searching produced any information on anyone working with it. Perhaps FreedomOS is just a scam. The author of the article has little to no technical knowledge.
Android is open source OS. You can certainly remove all google services from it.
There are several forks of it already.

Yes, the hardware is built in China, but I dare anyone to find one mobile phone or device built in the US today.
Those article slamming projects like this are usually by people who have no problem using their iPhone, and think the iPhone is an American product, just because Apple told them so, ignoring the fact that Apple’s registered business is in Ireland (to avoid taxes), and phones also built in China. Their factory partner is Foxconn among the world’s most notorious abuser of workers, who also use child labor. They also ignore Apple’s privacy hazard, predatory iOS operating system, embedded hardware tracking, and Apple’s work with Chinese government to censor on their behalf.

Thanks to TheMule. Still working on it…I’m a die hard.
Well, based on the satanic globalists calling the death jab pass the freedom pass, and the UK telling the people on “freedom day” they will not be able to go anywhere without the death jab pass, I don’t trust any product calling itself the freedom phone.
I’ll wait until tech people go through any of these new phones before I look at getting one.
The only thing that would truly work is the off button followed by destruction of the device. Now, let’s talk about all the other surveillance big brother does.
