First and foremost, healers should not be cowards.
Second, it’s good that he was not so fearful of the people he would represent that he insited on keeping a safe distace in violation of his Oath.
Seems to me that if you’re mortally afraid of the people you would lead, maybe you’re not the right person to lead them.
I do not like Oz, but in this case, well done.
