Lost yesterday in the open negotiation sessions between the president and the democrat leaders in the house and senate, was the sentencing guidelines being handed down by the Department of Justice for former senate intelligence committee staffer, James Wolfe. The DOJ recommends he receive 2 years for his prodigious leaking, not just to his young girlfriend reporter, but for also sending encrypted material to other members of the press. Here
Members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Mark Warner (D-VA) and Richard Burr (R-NC) as well as former director of national intelligence, James Clapper, wrote letters on behalf of Wolfe seeking leniency in sentencing. Here
Could be the start of something big.
How come nobody “leaks” the names of Congressional members who had sexual harassment claims against them?
..so how many years for classified testimony House leaker Adam Schiff?
But 3 YEARS for Cohen?!?
Maybe someone will send Wolfe to Arkansas when he gets out.
Not enough to send a message to other leakers now or in the future. Should’ve been 10 years.
If he starts now, he’d be out in time to get a job in the next administration if the Dems steal the election.
“…if the Dems steal the election.”
…you misspelled “when” there, @Thirdtwin…
…no question that they WILL…the only question is what will we DO about it…
I guess the FBI identified his intent.
Yet the most notable criminal, Hillary Clinton, faces no consequences for her blatant breach of National Security Laws and policies.
It looks like the two tiered Judicial system doesn’t quite cover criminal senate staffers or contractor employees (Reality Winner & Edward Snowden) who willingly break the law.
“…Yet the most notable criminal, Hillary Clinton, faces no consequences for her blatant breach of National Security Laws and policies.”
…mostly because she kills everyone she can’t blackmail. And does it very sloppily ON PURPOSE so everyone KNOWS it was her. Works pretty good, does it not, @cato?
