Donald Trump WILL NOT Be the GOP Nominee

Take a trip back and watch all the experts assure everyone that Donald Trump will not be the GOP nominee. Remember that when they assure you Trump will lose in a landslide.

102 Comments on Donald Trump WILL NOT Be the GOP Nominee

  1. I went from planning a big fund raiser in my gallery in Midland for Cruz to literally holding my nose when I would see his lying motherfucking face spouting more bullshit.

I hope he loses his senate run-I sure as hell have have no intention voting for him-I fucking dare him to have Beck come on down here and campaign with him.

  2. Oh, I see MM, destroying Cruz will help Trump get legislation passed….right?

You are why #NeverTrump exists. They fear that Trump will cause a devastating losses in both houses of congress, and you seem to actually want that.

    Why?

  3. We are living in a time when people we have all loved for years are hated, yet Rino’s are celebrated.

Levin, Cruz, Mile Lee, Ken Cucinelli, etcetra, are worthless, yet Christie, Pence, Alex Jones and many more are celebrated?

    WTF people? Really?

  4. Menderman, this process has separated the ass holes from the patriots. Forced a lot of political figures out into the light. And by the way it hasn’t been a walk in the park for Trump supporters.

  5. @Menderman — You are the biggest sad sack of them all. You #NT-ers are so phony, so obvious. No one understands for sure what crawled up your backside because you’re all just too coy. That coyness, that silly demand you’ve all had that we kiss your “true conservative” ring, that we all hail and bow down to your so-called ‘ownership’ of the conservative holy grail is as insufferable as the pap the Progressive left serves up. You should think about that the next time you get up on your high horse and start talking smack about people who are just as entitled to call themselves conservative and just as deeply concerned about the issues of the day as you seem to feel is the sole preserve of you and your rabid Cruz cohort.

It’s not because of people like me, or like MM that #NT-ers exist. You exist because, as I just said, you and yours possess a conservative ideological sanctimony that won’t permit you to 1) allow for trivial differences from your thinking, and 2) will never allow you to bend in the wind of change, even if that change is positive.

So, Menderman, remember this: You’re either going to help get Trump elected and shut your stupid pie hole about your dogmatic baggage or you won’t. If you decide to sit it out or bore us for the next few months with your sour grapes, and work against getting Trump elected, you should count yourself personally responsible for the loss, among many others, of our 2nd A.

Your suffering is just childish and stupid.

  6. The #NeverTrump crowd is still running around saying that Trump is going to lose in a landslide.
THAT is why it is important to run these clips.
It showcases their stupidity, so when people hear these chumps say that Trump is going to lose in a landslide people can look at it with the skepticism it deserves.

I can appreciate that you do not like how I shape the timbre of this blog, but it will have no bearing whatsoever on how I shape the timbre of this blog.

  7. I intend to vote for Trump, but I WILL NOT sit idly by as(some of) you asswipes toss solid TEA party conservatives under the bus to achieve a singular mission of electing president. Trading Alex Jones for Ted Cruz is absolute insanity!
If I can hold my nose and vote for Trump, y’all can stop the idiotic unwarranted attacks on long standing TEA party constitutional conservatives that Trump desperately needs to get his agenda passed. How in the hell do you plan to get Trump’s agenda passed if you run off all the conservatives?

  8. So many carriers in column, opinions, politics, book writing, and TV.
    “The Horror …. The Horror”

Well, I was listening to National Propaganda Radio on the way home from Paradise West. I know, but I have to know what the enemy is putting into their camps so I listen. It is at times excruciating the blaring stupidity, but somebody has to do it. Slant followed by half truths, drizzled with identity polotics, rolled in wanted #NeverTrumpers, sprinkled by leftist glee through the microphone from on the floor they found a delegate from Alaska that apparently remains at 100% Cruz for President, and topped off richly with “there are hardly any people of color here”.

Pick it up and put it on, there is a big battle coming up.

  9. The only problem is that some of these turds will float for a while. We won’t get rid of all of them with one flush. But in two more years we can pull the handle again and smile the self satisfied smile of a waste well and truly purged!

  10. IMenderman,
I am a conservative. I am a Trump supporter because nothing matters more than stopping the Democrats.

I supported Cruz at first, but in the end, Cruz was nothing more than establishment candidate financed by a large PAC to split the conservative vote.

There was a reason Yeb! Said all that crazy Demoncrat crap early on. None of it made sense. Why would Yeb! Dis the base? Think ” I have to lose the primary to win the nomination”.

    You were played.

  11. My last post was a serious question. Another Globalist. Him and his wife. I’m supposed to be enamared by Mr. Preagnant pause because he figured out how to cook bacon on a hot barrel? He lost fair and square. Did Trump cheat? If he did tell me when. Did Cruz lie? Yes he did. I really don’t get it. If Cruz is what he represents he should be on the Supreme Court. Yet he says no way. Confusing.

  12. Obviously the down twinklers here don’t want Menderman to vote for Trump.
Have any of you considered that that is exactly why the race is so close?
Compare Trump to Hillary. He is hands down the better person. Yet he is disliked (as is Hillary, and she deserves it) by most people.
It is not due to evil things Trump has done. It is due to evil done in his name.
Now is the time to stop taking up arms against fellow Republicans and take the fight to the enemy.

  13. Christie boiled Hillary’s cankles in oil tonight.

(I know it’s off topic, but I was finally pleased that some actual facts of her tenure were enumerated at the convention.)

  14. Fur: I’ve skated around the edges of this since Iowa. I’ve said bits and pieces, here and there, but I’ve never come flat out and said just how thoroughly disgusted I am with Ted Cruz. And before I unload, I want to remind you and everyone here that before anyone announced, I already had (what I thought was) a catchy campaign slogan: “I Chuz Cruz” I was in the tank for Cruz.

I couldn’t disagree more with the idea that Ted Cruz is “one of the best we have.”

    Why?

    1. He engaged is the VERY SAME kinds of dishonest campaign practices right out of the chute employed by the worst of the worst. He ginned up an official-looking voting ‘notice’ that caused people to think their right to vote was in danger — and he made them think they could ‘correct’ their error by voting for him. He publicly shamed voters by showing the names of their neighbors on those mailers.

    2. He (makes no difference if it was him, personally, or his campaign acting in his behalf) tweeted out on the day of the Iowa caucus that rising competitor Ben Carson had dropped out of the race. He also engaged in despicable caucus fraud by disseminating bald-faced lies about Trump’s positions by his poll workers at the caucus sites; campaigning by campaign workers on-site at the caucuses.

    3. He ran a campaign to deliberately stack and overwhelm district delegate elections across the country. When it was clear he was not going to win the requisite number of candidates through the voting booth, he decided to steal the election by counting on a contested convention based on delegate stacking.

    4. He lied about his ‘outsider’ status by deliberately hiding his ties to Big Energy and Wallstreet funders. He was never forthcoming (or tried to distract) about his wife’s ties to Goldman Sachs and her influential leadership/membership in the Independent Task Force on the Future of North America, a group set up by the Council on Foreign Relations. He was never forthcoming about he and his wife’s lengthy ties to the inner circles of Washington D.C., the Bush administration and the quid pro quo of insider back scratching.

    5. When he wasn’t obfuscating, he outright lied about his support of TPA/TPP and ‘immigration reform’ along the lines of every other RINO in D.C. (enforcing immigration law and deportations weren’t part of the conversation until Trump).

    6. Ted Cruz ‘drafted’ Trump on every significant plank once it was clear how popular Trump’s views were. Cruz never stepped out on his own to offer bold planks.

    7. He sided with RINOs in denouncing Trump’s freedom of speech by saying that Trump was responsible for the violence perpetrated against rally goers at his Chicago rally, essentially aligning himself with the criminal attackers who harmed citizens practicing their Constitutional rights of peaceful assembly and free speech.

    8) Cruz apparently never gave up on the idea that he or a more senior crony might receive the nomination, because he never publicly endorsed Trump, released his delegates to Trump or in any other public way made good on his pledge to support the nominee (and after Indiana it was more than clear Trump would finish the race with the votes and the delegates.)

    9. Because of #8, Cruz has purposely caused a rift in the party while knowing full well that the future of this
country hangs on the 2016 election — an election he didn’t have a prayer of winning honestly through the ballot box.

He’s a first class scuz. I hope he gets a good paying job as a corporate lawyer on Wall Street for an energy hedge fund. He is one fine example of why Americans have had enough.

  15. Lot’s of snake oil sales mans fans here yet. I hope you pull your heads out of your asses before they as swearing Hillary in. Try and get your little brains working please. You have two votes. Fucking figure it out.

  16. For Miss TD-er on my last comment: Does it bother you more that you’ve been had or that I’m the one telling you?

Other than that cheesy poster of pot-bellied, nasal-twanging Ted (of the D.C. Circuit Cruz’s) that was photoshopped with manly looking tats and a cigarette dangling, and the sad myth that he is the King of Debate and can recite “Princess Bride” verbatim, he’s even more run-of-the-mill than every other star-struck, overly ambitious, wealth-, status-, and power-seeking pol in the country. He can’t even lose with class.

  17. I suspect that come next year, win or lose, y’all will be quoting Menderman’s word just like “who is John Galt” from Atlas Shrugged. You are blowing any chance you have with this attack on actual conservatives that dare tell you that Donnie has no clothes. If you would read between the lines at some of the crap him and his minions are saying, you might realize that he is not all that!! She is the devil but he aint that far behind. Most of the nevertrumpers are saying we don’t want either of these losers and if you would stop reading just Breitbart and Drudge you might find that a majority of American do not like either candidate. As Medved says, Trump is not worth of his followers.

  18. Holy Shit Pickle, I up thumbed JohnS.
Attacking Cruz & those who worked for him is counter productive at best.
Cruz has a role to play in the Senate. You want someone to attack? How about McCONnel, Ryan and the RINOs who are the Obama water carriers.
They have proven repeatedly they cannot be trusted with the “Nation’s Business”.

  19. Oh, do pardon me all to hell, DaPenguin! The Trump voters on this site have ONLY been taking your shitty comments for over a year, now! Lost our only chance?! That’s a good one. No, not really. You and I both know that your panties are in such a tight twist, it’ll be December before you can walk without discomfort.

Take your vote, stuff it in a pipe and smoke it.

Stop reading Breitbart and Drudge? Oh yes, I should read Redstate and Resurgent because that’s where the True Conservatives, Inc. all hang out, right?

  20. @Cato — I do not feel reasonable at all tonight. I am fed up with the stupid myth that Ted Cruz is a ‘good guy’ or that we ‘need’ him in the senate. Because if past performance is any predictor of future performance, all I see him doing is working against Trump anyway — out of spite, out of the fact that he’s more like Paul Ryan than Paul Ryan or for whatever motivation he has to behave like the dumb ass he’s proven himself to be.

  21. dapenguin,

But the majority of thinking American disagree with your opinion of Trump. Now the word “Majority” is an important word here. So after you have proof the rest of us have fucked up royally let us know. And if we were right, please switch your party affiliation to liberal democrat. Because right now that’s what you are.

  22. @dapenguin
Donnie has clothes at this stage (whether he keeps them after elected, I don’t know).
But I damn sure know Hillary is stark naked (NSFW), only veiled by the media from Corruption, Dishonesty, Deceit, Arrogance, Prosecution and covered in the blood of 4 Americans.

Voting for Trump is a no brainer even for the never trump crowd (even if they deny it after they vote for him)

  23. Hey moron TD-er! Yeah, everyone knows all you have to do to TD or TU is refresh your browser and enter another one.

Idiot. But thanks for sending my comment to Chinese. Now, everyone will want to know just what the heck I said.

  24. AA, Fuck the down thumbers. Ignore them. It’s 2 minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the Democrats have the ball and we have a shit load of hypnotized pussies that are going to make sure Hillary wins because their loser isn’t THE GUY. No matter Trump killed his competition. Very sad. Way to man the fuck up. Traitors. They will realize it after Hillary is in office. To late. Hopefully they will never trust their own judgement again. They’re not capabable.

  25. @AbigailAdams
I agree with you, you are not reasonable.

HOLY SHIT PICKLE I agreed with JohnS and AbigailAdams on the same f’ing thread.
I’m calling it quits, it’s like an inside straight!

I’ll be dreaming that all those vicious, disenchanted, negative, disfranchised anti-trump defeatists see that they are all needed to bury Hillary. Trump is the way to victory. (period) !!!!

  26. Cato, shit you’ve posted here leads me to beleive you were a military man. So we fight with the army we have. WTF dude? Tell me I’m wrong. The direction is now forward.

  27. Wow guys, like him or not, Trump is the best thing we got. The problem with our govt. is not the Pres. it’s the Congress! It’s career politicians covering their asses (both parties)living lavish at your expense.Put Trump in and let him plow the row! If he doesn’t, then make life hell for them all. Hillary is SOS, Trump is the last chance.

  28. @Cato — Yeah, whatever. You know what I meant, I’m sure. But in case not, reasonable AA would have stopped at the water’s edge and not given full rein to what a colossal train wreck Ted Cruz is. I’ve held back because I was sick and tired of the personal attacks and the crap comments in response to trying to be reasonable for the past year, trying to argue just the dispassionate facts and getting the pile on from jerks and assholes who wouldn’t know a fact or the truth if they were the only choices. I’m sick and tired of people holding Ted Cruz up as the mold from which other ‘good’, ‘virtuous’, ‘Christian’, ‘True Conservatives’ should be modeled. It’s bunk. Bunk. Bunk. Bunk. Bunk. Bunk.

  29. @cato — Oh, no problem there. Nothing to “get over.” You’re the one who tried to make a joke about ‘reasonableness.’ S’all. Funny how when when you tossed that out, you want it to stick and not have any push back.

  30. HAHAHAHA!!!!!!! AA just gave up the secret as to why my comments turn chinese so fast!!!! Her and her SJW internet warriors found a loophole in the TD game! Just refresh and just a few friends can make comments disappear! That’s some funny shit AA! Now when I see one of my comments with 20 thumbs down and 5 thumbs up, I know you did all the thumbs down! HAHAHAHA!!!!! What a freaking loser to try to fool the world into thinking so many others think like you! HAHAHAHA!!!!!! That’s some funny shit right there! What a freaking lyin’ loser to do crap like that! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I am gonna sleep well tonight thanks to you AA!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

    And AA, refresh, refresh, refresh!

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  31. Hey Bozo — Don’t get cramps laughing. I worry about you.

I don’t give two shits who you vote for. But if you denigrate the only person standing between me and my Constitutional freedoms, you are my enemy. I will give you no quarter. TD on, it’s your childish game.

  32. @AA
I made no joke about you being unreasonable, I was agreeing with you.

It appears to me that your needle is stuck on the primary and Cruz because your “feelings” got hurt along the way. Trump is the winner, focus on the future, not the past.
What’s the point of pissing in anyone’s corn flakes, retribution, revenge or to show you superior intellect?
Just sayin’ ….. It’s better for you and most beneficial to Trump to focus on the task at Hand.

  33. Menderman. You should be proud of your self. I’ve always respected your comments here and have always valued your opinion, until this process started. I thumb no one down with the exception of JohnS. I thumb him down because he hammers my posts. But hey Mrnderman, thanks for being an asshole. Please vote for Hillary. I really no longer want you on my side.

  34. Charming. Can’t use the honor system around here, eh?
Time for a new thumbing system. Or hey, maybe no thumb system at all because It’s too easy for hyper sensitive/lazy people to get their revenge on a commenter instead of arguing against their point.

  35. Cruz spporters mistake the Cruz of early 2013 with the Cruz of 2015-2016. He was put in his place by the establishment.

I have a free Cruz book if anyone wants it. Sadly, I can’t get my donations back.

  36. IF Cruz is some of the best we have and compared to McCain, Flake, Graham, Collins, Ernst, Gardner, McConnell, Hatch, fellow Texan scumbag Cornyn, Kirk…yeah, he talks better then these assholes but he was on the border, welcoming 100s of ILLEGALS into our country, passing out teddy bears to them. WTF?

His stance on H1-B visas was OK when it was on the down low but when he got caught, suddenly it was a big mistake.

As detailed by AA, he ran a typical GOPe campaign with huge donations from open borders advocates. And almost right up to the end, was planning on a contested convention. Imagine what that would have done.

Yeah, one of the best we have but only because almost every other motherfucking Republican Senator is a GD sellout. In fact, off the top of my head, the 2 senators from Idaho & Wyoming, Shelby, Sessions, Tom Cotton and Paul are the best we have(pardon me if I missed some as I’m sure I did). Cruz doesn’t hold a candle to these men.

There was a point in the campaign where Cruz could have acknowledged Trump as the winner, it would have shut assholes like The Thumb, Romney and Kristol right the fuck up. Instead his insane thirst for power made him play the spoiler. There would have to be an Orin Hatch type to run against him here before I’d throw back a dozen shots and stagger into a voting booth and vote for him.

  37. Menderman, Czar admitted to me months ago the method she and the other SJW gals here use to shut me down was to refresh and down twinkle.
I guess those without a real life need something to do while waiting for their government check.
That is why they get so upset when they get down twinkles.
I go to bed at night, but it is always entertaining to check in in the AM and see what those who don’t have to get up in the morning because they are living on my dime do all night.
The town drunk (BB)is especially entertaining. I guess if you black out every night and don’t remember what you do, it is easier to proceed shamelessly the next day.

  38. Drawn here though a sidebar comment.
Quite the pissin match goin on . . .
But I must say AbigailAdams 9 point ditty on Cruz got me.

    #1. If you couldn’t tell the mailers weren’t actually real. . .
your too f^ckin stupid to be votin for anything . . stay home.

#2. Ben Carson’s camp screwed the pooch with their press statement.
All the Cruz camp did was repeat it . . They have to fact check it?
What about Trump’s bullshit personal attacks on Ben . . Crickets . .

#3. Trump campaign can’t figure out the rules . . Cruz is cheating . .

Trump has never extended any kind of olive branch or attempted unity.
He’s the same as said to hell with any “Constitutionalists” . . .
He’s spent more time & effort on Bernie supporters. . .
But what the hell . . . “Free ice cream for everybody” . . .
    And a chicken in every pot . . . . Because . . . Trump says so . . .

    First class scuz ??? . . . Take a good hard look at your hero . . .
And if Ted was to become a “Wall Street Lawyer” or for “Big Energy”
    (oooohh ; scary sh*t) . . . Donnie would be funding him . . .

  39. Stupid post and stupid continuation of the Cruz bashing. As the 78th comment, let me chime in and point out that this is a very stupid video clip. I could understand it if it only included the pundits like Kristol. But to show the other 16 republican primary contenders saying that Trump won’t win is just plain stupid. What the hell were they supposed to say when running against Trump, “Trump will win”? I am quite frankly tired of this jack-hammer bashing of fellow republicans in order to make Trump look good. It actually has the opposite effect on many.

All any of this does is nudge people from “Never Hillary” to “Stay home”.

  40. Abigail – you are completely right in everything you say about Cruz. And not only is Cruz a phony and a liar, which he has proven by his own words and actions, he has no self- or situational awareness, and to top it off (a good example of the no awareness), he eats boogers on national TV.

Mr. Trump is our next president. Hillary will NOT win.

  41. Abigail,
everything you mentioned about Cruz falls under my “I only have one bad thing to say about Cruz” comment.
The one bad thing about Cruz is that he is a politician, and he cannot for the life of him admit that he was wrong.
He’d rather argue with you until he convinces you that you were wrong about his record.
    It is very, very oily.
His record on trade is clear, but Cruz would rather muddy it and talk in circles and convince you he was a step ahead of you and one day, when you achieve his level of wisdom, you’ll understand how he was right. And he’ll do it in a tone very reminiscent of Al Gore – like you’re a child.

But other than that I do think he’s one of our best. His voting record is very very good.
His conservative rating is very, very good.

I don’t see an advantage in torpedoing him when we have much much worse to jettison.

  42. @Elk Tracks — You certainly chose the right name for yourself!

Get Trump elected or shut up. Again, anyone standing between me and my Constitutional guarantees is the enemy. And right now, you’re looking like you want a President Clinton.

  43. Fur — I don’t get it. Who is worse besides Clinton? They’re all cut from the same cloth. This may be the only opportunity before everyone goes back to sleep, to just get rid of these phony pols who are in politics for themselves and not to uphold their oath of office to protect and defend and represent the People. Cruz isn’t the only one by a long shot, but he’s got a following of people who believe his crap and that makes him more than oily, it makes him dangerous. Too strong? Consider that he won’t be satisfied until he’s back on top. And how will he get there?

  44. Up until 24 hours ago there were Cruz fanatics working furiously to find a way to swipe the nomination from the man who won the most votes, and I’m supposed to be ashamed because I posted a video of prognosticators, including Cruz, who blindly ignored what was happening?

There are #NeverTrump sites whose commenters are still saying Trump is going to lose in a landslide, despite the polling that says otherwise.

Every time Trump inches forward these loons ratchet up their vitriol.
    Where are we now?
Many are saying they are GOING TO VOTE FOR HILLARY.

The day I stop making “hurtful” posts is the day you realize that you’re nuts.

    See how that works?
My posts are not inflammatory when you have your HEAD ON RIGHT.

    Geez.
I keep posting the litmus strip and when you turn purple you say I’m the guy with the problem.

  45. AA- I don’t get it.
If Cruz was the nominee would you be acting like these lunatics who are torn, out of pristine principles, whether you’d vote for Hillary or Cruz?

I would expect that people’s meters would be calibrated a little more fairly, for both Trump and Cruz.

I could be a strident maniac who dismisses everyone because they aren’t 100% in line with an ideal that we have NEVER had in office, by the way, – including Reagan.

This is off topic a bit, but I don’t want to start a new comment.

I did research into a site that is rabidly anti-Trump.
I searched the keyword Trump going back 18 months. The site was enthusiastic about Trump, with many great things to say.
Those positive comments continued up until around April of this year.
Another blogger on the site took center stage and began posting very nasty, childish posts about Trump.
    Like lemmings, some followed.
    Many left the site.
Today it is an unhinged loony bin where everyone hails Ted Cruz like he’s a saint.
    Trump is the devil.

I did a search of the name Cruz going back 18 months.

    Meh.
He was just another name. When the primaries started his name wasn’t mentioned as much as Perry or Carson.

It wasn’t until they started doing the math about different paths to the primary victory that Cruz’s name built more steam.

By the time Trump was winning Indiana, these loons, who previously were not so enthusiastic for Cruz, made Cruz into an icon.
Cruz is the greatest friggin’ human who ever graced the hill.

I am adamant when I say that we are dealing with a mass hypnosis and a classic case of temporary mental illness.

When the site owner made a post that he was resigned to the fact that he had to vote for Trump to stop Hillary, the commenters threatened to leave the site.

Now this poor guy is stuck with a psycho ward of commenters, led by a fellow contributor who is leading the lemmings towards his ultimate gambit — VOTE FOR HILLARY.

This is going to kill this guy’s site, and I really like this guy.

  46. Fur — Is that a general statement or ??

Yesterday I planted a stake in the ground. If today one is still #NT or otherwise trying to tear down the only nominee running against Hillary Rodham-Clinton, you are my enemy. #NT, at this point, must be written off as a bad loss from the books. They are dangerous, stupid people, not because I think they will have influence, but because they will be the remnant who will take every opportunity to work against the success of my country. For whatever reasons that can only be understood using their tortured, twisted nonsense and doublespeak.

I am least of all worried about their votes. We don’t need them. And I know even saying that out loud just galls them like crazy.

That’s all I gotta say about that. Just yesterday I said it was a total waste of time arguing against their intractable BS, because I sure as hell don’t know what they want America to look like, but I know what I want it look like.

  47. What Fur said. And I supported Cruz FIRST. I even had a top 4 at the very beginning, in which Trump was included.

The arguing becomes ridiculous when people put dindu nuffin capes on their own guy as if they were 100% perfect. Please. That’s why I rarely come to these types of posts. Both Cruz and Trump have faults OK? But shit, I’m not gonna let people who HAET Cruz or Trump to decide for me whether I’m going to vote for Trump, [which is also a vote against that demon Hillary]. I know I’m voting for Trump, regardless of the butthurt anyone has over Trump or Cruz, or Carson, whoever. It doesn’t matter to me, no one’s changing my mind so that’s not an issue.

That being said, I think the nevertrump business is hilarious.
90% of them are elites who had no intention of putting in anyone like Cruz. They spent hours trashing Cruz on every media that would welcome it, and now 10% of the nevertrump people actually believe they are PRO Cruz? No. They want, and still want a Romney/Bush team. And that dream is dead. DEAD! lol.

  48. @Fur — Would I be as rabidly against Cruz if he were the nominee?

Knowing what I know about him, I would vote for him but I would be quickly exploring prepper sites. I’m not sure how to put this, but knowing what we all know now, Cruz best represents the terminal illness that has put this country on life support. “Managed Decline.” His central role in the TPA/TPP legislation and his intimate ties to a North American Union plans via his wife Heide’s long-term involvement with the CFR, puts him squarely in the suck-America-dry camp. He’s a known liar and unscrupulous politician who will say and do anything to retain power. Anyone who believes he will make unselfish decisions, rightfully placing the Constitutional rights of citizens above his own, are not my friend.

All I can say about your blogger friend or any blogger who is concerned about ‘losing’ commenters who are working against the best interests of this country, is they should count their blessings and get to work finding ways to contribute with their blogs to the success of this country. Cynicism is an effortless path.

  49. I’m not sure if the “turning purple” remark was aimed at me, but for the record, I didn’t even get a light shade of red. My question was how is the above video in any way helpful to Trump? The goal is to help Trump beat Hillary right? This is not helping that mission.

  50. The reason why I thought the video was pointless is because it quoted republican candidates saying Trump can’t/won’t win WHILE THEY WERE RUNNING AGAINST TRUMP. As soon as Fiorina came up, I was thinking, “well duh?”. Then later Rubio, Huckabee (double “duh” since he became a strong Trump supporter), Kasich, Jeb!, and Cruz.

The message would have made sense if it only included the pundits.

  51. Sorta like: Watch this video from last October when the head coaches of the Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles say that the Washington Redskins will not win the division! Hilarious!

  52. OK, I have a confession to make: I HATE politics! I managed to ignore it for many years, but after Lyndon Johnson tried to get me killed for what I considered at the time to be no good reason, I decided I’d better at least pay attention to the process that elected individuals who could possibly put me in that same situation again.

So here I am today, discussing that which I would rather not. Anyway, some may recall that a while back I said that Donald Trump scared me. That he seemed like a loose cannon, and that I was afraid that, like the Houston Oilers of old, he only existed to break our hearts. Well, I don’t exactly believe all that anymore, but he still scares me. I live in fear that he is going to open his mouth and say something outrageous that will send mainstream voters running over to the Dem side. In so many ways I think Trump is a political pig in a poke. However, given the choice between a pig in a poke and a Clinton in a dress…well, let’s just say I got my lipstick in my hand, and I’m looking for that pig.

Now – if I can deal with politics and a suspension of disbelief like that, why can’t folks here put aside their philosophical arguments about who is a smidgen more conservative than the other guy, apply some Chap-Stick to the butthurts, and come together to get our candidate elected? I don’t get it.

I mean, you can always argue about who would have been the better candidate after Trump is elected, can’t you?

tl;dr: Calm your tits, put on your big girl panties, and vote for Trump.

    🙂

  53. To all you Cruzborgs and #NT’ers: In your never-ending trail of crocodile tears being wept over a politician who lost in the only way that counts, in the ballot box, follow your own exhortation and steal-the-election strategy: “Vote Your Conscience.”

  54. Wow long thread. What I got out of it…..

Cruz lost. Cruz /Fiorina lost. Holy roller Cruz lost. He tried every trick I got the book and lost. Good men lose with dignity, Cruz did not.

  55. And then there’s this – HAH HAH!!

The last-minute rules changed from the Republican National Committee at Tuesday night’s roll call hearing in Cleveland turned a quiet Utah delegation into a confused crowd where pandemonium ensued. All 40 delegates, as counted by the national party, went to Donald Trump from a state where he didn’t win the popular vote after Utah pledged votes Tuesday to Ted Cruz.

Utah delegation party leader Phil Wright had the microphone on the floor of the convention “according to the votes of the great state of Utah, we passed all 40 of our delegates to the gentleman who won our state, Ted Cruz.”

After days of tumult and insider fights over voting your conscience, Utah delegates breathed a sigh of relief as a crush of national reporters pressed in for the final shot of Utah’s Never Trump stand.

    “Utah 40 votes trump.”

With four simple words came silence and then boos as Utah delegates processed what happened. As the delegates expressed their anger, Utah Republican Party Chair James Evans made a cut sign at his throat. He was trying to tell his delegation to keep quiet. He knew the switcheroo was coming but said, “we didn’t get a chance to communicate that.”

Chris Herrod, a Utah delegate, was heard shouting, “you knew about this before.”

  56. I suppose Trump now knows Cruz can be bought, and Trump has the ‘money’. Cruz voted conservative before, he can vote that way again, with Trump as President. I’d rather have it that way apposed to Cruz carry a grudge ant kowtowing to his previous moneyed interests.
