    how about the one in stripes?

    how many wish nurses still took as much pride in their appearance today, instead of shuffling around in slippers and scrubs?

    who thinks perhaps these two things are related to the kind of treatment we receive as “patients” today?

    not to mention doctors in white with stethoscopes around their necks, instead of the (God help me!) first gynecologist i saw for my first bout with cervical cancer, who met me in sweats and bunny slippers – this being 1993, mind you – and then told me he couldn’t do a second pap smear until i paid cash up front….

    “dress for success” is not a slogan – it’s a mindset……just like “casual fridays”……
