With the number of candidates vying for socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional seat expanding, the radical congresswoman appears to be growing a wee bit worried.
So much so that during a kickoff event Saturday in Queens for her reelection bid, she reportedly urged roughly 100 or so people — it’s not clear whether they were mainly supporters or campaign workers — to push for a quadrupling in voter turnout this primary season.
“Last election cycle, in the primary as we know, the turnout was quite low … this year, we want to multiply turnout by four times. That’s our goal. We want to secure 60,000 votes in the primary election. We need to start creating a turnout machine right now,” she reportedly said.
While it shows that the general public believes her to be unworthy & easily defeatable, it would be much better if 1 strong and reasonable contender took her seat.
I doubt that it would be a republican but less totalitarian would be preferable.
Remember, although she is a dimwit, so are many voters.
That is how Canada got such an imbecile.
She might be tough to beat since she’s indistinguishable from her constituents.
Dozens of challengers are what AOC wants. Get behind one good challenger.

She’s referring to the election she won against an arrogant incumbent. Now that she has become the arrogant incumbent, it’s only natural that she’d want high turnout. That will cost some money, but she has it. She raised more money than any other Dem House candidate last cycle.
It is not going to be easy to get her out.

Honestly, I can’t believe I have to run again so soon. I thought it was, like, eight years or something. Now I’m going to need eight times the voter turnout. This is no way to make a living.
