Dozens of electric vehicles (EVs) ready to be shipped out to customers went up in flames at a Rivian manufacturing facility in Illinois this weekend.
The fire broke out at a parking lot late on Saturday evening. Thankfully, nobody was injured in the incident. more here
That facility is fairly close to me, you could see the smoke and some flames for several miles away. Occasionally they will have a single battery ignite within the facility but ‘fortunately’ it was in the lot where vehicles are ready to ship.
Saw my first 2024 VinFast VF 8 today on the 405 South near LAX. It was on top of a flatbed tow truck.

A guy here in my little village bought an EV and was bragging it up…..2 days later he traded it off and got his KIA back because it wouldn’t charge at his house…He’s a flagrant democrat….

…not EVERYONE who responds to an emergency incident is a “first responder”. This title, definitionally, cant be applied to people who arent first-in. Some departments DO have people DESIGNATED as ‘First Responders’, but again, that isnt what they call EVERYBODY…

EV fires are especially dangerous and environmentally toxic. Yet, the hypocrite left have created a product that’s built on corruption. Currently, producers with good intentions (Tesla) are not enough to improve the EV brand.
Between the criminal third world mining practices of precious metals, slave labor, poor EV sales, unreliability and unstable, combustible materials the EV industry is stalled. An unreliable form of transportation and the market reflects it.
Massive disasters like this EV factory fire will become more common without crucial changes to EV design. Probably not going to happen anytime soon.

My hoods filthy with these things. I always like to ask the owners, say, why’s there no trailer hitch on that thing? Not only do they not come with one, I don’t think there’s anyway you could put one on. Same with the Tesla truck like thingy.
They could have the world’s biggest weenie roasts or make a lot of smores around that fire, just be sure you’re wearing a fireproof suit and enjoy. And if a few dipwads are consumed by that fire they can be considered as Darwin award candidates.
