I’M GOING TO ADMIT TO MY OWN DUMB STUNT WHILE OPS BOSS ON THE USS NEW JERSEY
I WAS ALWAYS TRYING TO FIT IN A WORKOUT AND 8 LAPS AROUND THE REAR 16″ GUN TURRET WAS A MILE
SNUCK OUT DURING GEAVY SEAS MIDDLE OF SOUTH PACIFIC, THOUSANDS OF MILWS FROM ANYTHING FOR A 30 MIN RUN
LOOKOUTS WERE SECURED INSIDE THE SHIP DUE TO HEAVY SEAS
I HAD MY SEA LEGS SO WAS USED TO ADJUSTING MY BALANCE
SHIP PITCHED HARD, ROGUE WAVE CAME DOWN THE PORT SIDE, CAUGHT ME LIKE TGE DSMN FOOL I WAS AND I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO HOLD TIGHT TO A CLEAT OR SOME SORT OF SEAMANSHIP APPARATUS BEFORE THE WAVE ENGULFED ME, HUNF ON (LITERALLY LOL) FOR DEAR LIFE
WOULD HAVE BEEN A ROUGH WAY YO GO, WATCHING THE NEW JERSEY’S STERNLIGHT FADING INTO THE DISTANCE
VERY DUMB MOVE, TRUE STORY, AND I SURE AS HELL AIN’T BRIAN WILLIAMS

While in High School we used to swim in the Mather gorge along the Potomac River just below Great Falls (38.98324731384967, -77.23802078545181). There were 10, 20 and 30 foot jumping points along the cliffs. Once, during a dry spell some kid jumped off the 20 foot cliff and struck a rock below the surface. It killed him. We never went back again.

Damnable foolish and probably drunk. The hell of it is if someone dared him to throw his phone overboard there is no way he would have done it.

Darwin wins again. Don’t ever bet your life on jumping over the side of a ship on a dare. It’s not worth it. Eighteen is far too young to die from being a dumbass.

I built the USS New Jersey.

Are you sure he actually graduated High School??

He looked like a clean cut white kid. RIP. Meanwhile down the road from me, parents took their retarded kid down to the river for a swim Kid is 16 with floaties. Parents lost track of him and he’s dead too, drowning.

Sad. Tragic.
I think of all the stuff I did as a young man, risky stuff like this. You feel invincible and think you can handle anything when you’re that age. Not clear what happened. I watched the video multiple times elsewhere and one commenter stated a shark was visible right near the beginning of the vid, to the left of frame. I kinda looks like it. The kid seems to be ok while in the water but then appears to go under quickly and disappear at the end as the camera pans to something else. RIP.

Applied Darwinism… it’s been working to help Humanity for a very long time.

On senior class trip a kid performed a perfect swan dive into the shallow end and broke his neck. Drunk out of his mind. Once you’re plastered enough all inhibitions go out the window.
5
Tragic. What his family must be going through – grief, deep sorrow and humiliation. They need prayer.
Teens really are dangerously reactionary and foolish. I remember doing stunts that almost got me “cancelled”, except for the grace of God.
Sadly, this stupid kid tempted fate, dived into pitch black waters and drowned thousands of miles away from home. He must have been trying to prove he was “brave” enough to do something none of his idiot buddies would dare do and failed.
He accomplished one thing. He’s now another sobering reminder that being a fool can cost your life.

Not inhibitions, good sense. Any kind of sense, really
That is not a cruise ship…
WTF was he thinking?!?
Oh, wait. I’m making an assumption for which there are no facts in evidence.
More like a booze ship. Result of eating Tide Pods when young.
24/7 feeder, 24/7 garbage, 24/7 retinue of grey suited, finned garbage disposers/Darwinists.
