  1. I’m watching “Route 66” reruns right now. The early 60s show had a stable of actors who played different parts in different episodes, and Ed Asner was one of them. Good, versatile actor, regrettable politics. RIP.

  2. He was the Godfather of moronic, hypocritical virtue signaling. He defended Castro putting political dissidents to death because that was “the rule of law in Cuba” while Asner himself personally disagreed with the death penalty, but it was okay for Castro to do it because he was a communist.

    So… Fuck Ed Asner.

  3. Back in the late eighties I met Asner on Sunset Blvd, when called to an accident. He was hit by a car backing up, and was sent to the hospital. He was nice enough then.

    I know he is a dipshit lefty but one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies is The Christmas Card;

    He is a kind honest church going dad of one of the love interests, I’d like to remember him that way.

    I getcha, it is a bit sappy but it was made before Hallmark went woke, and hits all the themes; people go to church, solid work ethic,a patriotic community, and the military guy is polite and honorable. Works for me.

  5. Wherever Ed is right now I bet his ears are ringing from all the folks cussing his name.

    I’m humming a Dultone tune…
    “They took the river, searched it up and down, they assumed he drowned, but I knew better….”

    Adios Ed, don’t sit on the rocks, they are hot as hell.

  6. Ed Asner proves that even someone stupid enough to fall for socialism can be a successful actor. It points to the absurdity of looking to celebrities for advice on almost anything.

  7. Too bad he lasted as long as he did. Horrible, horrible piece of shit commie. Clueless, ungrateful bastard made one helluva lotta money in a country he hated. Hope he rots in hell right along with Saddam Hussein and his boys.
