Ending eternal life of CA unions

CPR: Republican California State Assemblywoman Shannon Grove, representing the 34th district (mostly Kern County), has come up a couple of interesting bills. (H/T Steve Frank.)Assembly Bill 2753 would “require California’s public employee unions to post an itemized version of its budget online, making it accessible for its members.” A second bill, AB2754, would “require public unions to hold an election every two years to determine if the current labor union should continue to represent its members. The election would also allow workers to select another public employee union to take its place.”  MORE

  1. That is good news MJA! Until the CA unions are broken, CA is a lost cause. It will be getting worse there before it gets any better.

Moving out of CA 7 years ago was the smartest thing I ever did!

  2. The problem is the Dems own the Capital. This stand zero chnace of reaching Brother Brown’s desk. Which sucks for those of us living the dream in the Socialist Experiment #42 Gone Sideways.

  3. We don’t need unions for everything in these modern times. The ONLY need for unions is for the skilled trades to ensure proper training in trades that can affect the life and safety of others.

  4. The only public employees who need union protection are the Police. They need protection whenever a Policeman has to shoot a minority to save his own life. Tragically, whenever a low level patrolman has to shoot an Obama son, the Chain of Command folds like a cheap suit. Typically, the chain of command is afraid to stand up to the media, the Governor, the mayor, and the city council. Better yet, why not have the Police and the media trade places?
