4. NO! For the same reason I don’t go to dog shelters, I only support them financially I won’t live long enough to have another dog.

6. @ Doc….There are a bunch of older dogs that end up at shelters for a variety of reasons…Try one of them out. I can assure you that dogs make you live longer…

   I have 3 dogs, 15.5 years, 8.25 years and 4 years. Based on my familial longevity, I’ve only got about a decade left and because of that I’m thinking about another puppy so I can live longer. You can’t die if you have a puppy to raise all the way up…

9. No one will believe this but;
   I have a quite unique name combo: Rick, *****, ******.

   Down the street is an older elect eng. with the exact same name.
   (the chances…)
   He has an female Italian Black Dog that HATES everyone in the Hood.
   She HATED ME for about 2 months.
   Now that Girl GOES NUTZ for a quick greeting when i stop occasionally to Give her a Kiss on the forehead & play roughly with her for a few minutes. I LOVE THAT DOG!
   Thankfully, He uses a different BANK than me.

    I’ve always had “used” dogs myself and loved all of them I picked out. My son just got his 1st puppy, he’s 48 (not the dog). Bottom line I have to make it to 91 now.

12. I have a 15 yo used dog, Lady Lovey Lovebug, aka “Lovey” that I got when she was 10. She had been puppy milled and wasn’t spayed yet when I got her at 10 with evidence of a recent litter. She is my heart. Some health issues of my own lately and I have to now have dog walkers (luckily she loves them too). I pray she will keep me alive. If she goes before me I would want another but not sure if that is wise in my condition. I also have 3 senior cats. Love them but it different ways.
