My sweet mother just loved them. I have very fond memories of her in the kitchen singing along to the Everly Brothers on the hi-fi and delicious smells filling the house. All was right with the world. We were safe, and loved.
Thank you so much for posting this.
They were asked in an interview about the experience of joining the Marines. Phil said he wouldn’t trade the experience for a million dollars.
And he wouldn’t repeat it for a billion dollars
My favorite Everly Brothers song…

This is a 180 from Everlys, but the crying in the rain reminded me of one of my favorite old Motown tunes.

^^^ And one of them wears a Big Fur Hat. LOL
California Dreaming is one of my 42-year-old son’s favorite songs. He just turned 42 on Monday June 17th., and he likes the older music from the 60’s as well as older country music. He may turn into his grandfather and myself in his taste of good music. Who knew, the older music from the 60’s is far better than 99% of the crap that they call music nowadays. Sure, there were some stinkers back then but it’s still far better than crap music and hip hop will ever hope to be.

Here’s one for you and your son.

Thanks Brad, White Bird is still one of my all-time favorite songs ever from the late 60’s and early 70’s. When my wife and I bought our first house in 1977 the previous owner had nailed that album cover (minus the record) to the inside wall of our garage in the back yard. It stayed there the whole time that we lived there from 1977 to 1990. Every time that I went out to the garage to get my car out, I would see it there as well as when I went out to my woodpile inside the garage since we had a wood burning stove for our heat in the Winter.

I have the vinyl. I’m waiting for it to hit 1 mil in value so I can retire. LOL
thank you from a 74 yo woman wide awake at 4:30 am. Great music to try and return to sleep and love to you all who shared your faves. Mine too.
They look like they aged 10 years with those buzz cuts and uniforms, didn’t affect their voices though.
Waiting for music heroes eminem, lizzo, snoop dogst to sign up
