Exposed Public Urinals Pop Up in Paris

KFI: Public and very exposed urinals are now available for use across the city of Paris as a eco-friendly solution to public peeing.

At first glance, the “uritrottoirs” look like bright red trash cans with a lovely garden on top, but the sign above the urinal depicting a man peeing into the u-shaped opening tells you it is in fact a public urinal.

Some of the urinals are “tucked” away in private places but some are in plain sight of tourists like the one pictured above that faces River Seine which is often frequented by tourist boats.

There is even a uritrottoir about 22 yards away from a school near the Notre Dame cathedral.

  1. It won’t be much longer before those public urinals won’t be needed. Everyone there will simply piss or pop a squat on what used to be a sideswalk, like was done 1000 years ago.

  2. All this business in the last few years of combining male and female bathrooms, changing rooms, and these outdoor peeing facilities, I think, is a campaign by the NWO people to gradually break down people’s idea that we have a right to privacy.

  3. The picture in the linked article shows a rather leaky contraption. Typical for the french, I guess. They won’t have to empty it as often. And wait until the rioting imbeciles start tipping them over during their outbursts. ces’t la vie
It is a good thing that women don’t have to micturate (big word there, huh?) while they are out and about. But, one big concern I have is: I don’t see any facilities for personal hygiene- such as hand washing or sanitation. I wouldn’t touch a single thing in that city.
Someone should run around the city and do a control study of contamination, before these become widespread, then repeat swabbing/testing after their use for a while. They’re going to find bacterial and std contamination everywhere.

  5. I was in France (about 20 years ago) and I don’t remember seeing any public urinals. If they were already prevalent in France, why are even French people pointing and laughing at people using them right out in the open?

  6. The French they are a funny race: they fight with their feet, and pee all over the place.
This country is descending into Shitholedom faster than any other country in Europe.

  8. “Attention, ‘Gypsy’ muggers! Scuse me, while I turn my back, occupy my hands (well, hand, but plural — for the sake of the mademoiselles), and whip this out.”

  9. The French are late comers to the practices of the Dutch. Where public urinals are everywhere.

Over the years starting in 1980 I made 12 or so trips to the Netherlands and before I saw one in use I wondered what the odd gray structures were that were seen in the middle of the street. You can see some of them at the beginning of the video on the below link, that is about women demanding equal accommodations.

Another mystery seen in Eindhoven were the frequently seen signs that were a minimum line sketch of what looked like a roman soldier viewed from the back quarter with a dashed line arching to the ground. I finally asked what was signs purpose. I was told it to discourage peeing on the foundations of the building in the alley, which caused damage to the often old medieval building that required expensive repairs.

  10. “Pissoirs” – walk in urinals for men to use one at a time – had been in place in Paris for more than 100 years. They were even placed at regular intervals on the Champs Elysee. Not sure why they were removed – maybe because drug users shot up in them as they did in free bathrooms placed in SF.
