Fascism has always been the domain of the “left.”
(the socialists adopted “left,” which originally meant “Republican,” in the same manner as describing the socialist/communist/anarchist union of the Spanish Civil War as “Republicans” – deceit is the ONE enduring facet of socialism)
Fascism is Italian Socialism – nothing more, nothing less.
It sounds “kool” to the ignorant to use words incorrectly while attempting to disparage one’s foes among the throngs of the ignorant who whoop like apes and clap like seals at any expression that sounds to them, as intellectual, or informed. This is principally used by the Bolsheviks (in cliches and slogans) though it is making inroads among the Mensheviks – the McConnell/Ryan “centrists.”
This is why they have destroyed education across the Western World, and continue to spew nonsense from the pulpits, Academia, and the media – trying to crush the truth with noise, accusations of racism (sexism, homophobia, whatever), fear-mongering, and blatant lies instead of engaging in honest debate.
And it seems to be working …

What ever you call it on the left, it’s ugly and they haven’t let up even though they’ve been increasingly marginalized.
I hope 2018 kicks them into the grave and 2020 shovels dirt on them.
They are militant. They want to fight. Little old ladies will try and get right in your face. They’re entitled to have it their way, not yours.
Apparently there is some confusion between fascism and Nazism.
Benito Mussolini tried to re-create the Roman Empire in World War II. He was a fascist.
Adolf Hitler, on the other hand, was peddling National Socialism where the term Nazi came from. He ran death camps. Bernie espouses national Socialism, does he also want death camps?
I just picked up that book this week, at Costco. Can’t wait to read it. Mr D’Souza writes clearly and with all the historical footnotes you would want.

No real news here. The Left has always been fascist; they were just quieter about it in past decades. It took a couple generations going through public school and brainwashed by media to give them the numbers needed to get louder and bolder.
Now the brass ring is really within reach, and if they get it it’ll be for good.

I’ve been watching Dinesh for several months — his lectures at universities and colleges since around January. He started lecturing on the Big Lie a couple months ago in anticipation of his book release. Someone hacked his FB page on the day of the book’s release. They mean business, and I hope it ends with stupid hacking pranks. I really hope that D’Souza makes The Big Lie into a documentary. It would be really great to get this out before the masses.
@AC — What D’Souza is talking about, primarily, is that the Left (whether you want to call it Communism, Socialism, Marxism, or some combo) is ramping up the violence inherent in all of these dictatorial ideologies and perpetrating a Big Lie about who are the fascists. Fascism is an easier lie to tell because few(er) people know what it really is and are dupes, falling for the idea that somehow Main Streeters are a mash-up of White Supremacists, violent tyrants and ignorant drones. Just as the Left tried to pin slavery on the Right, anti-Civil Rights on the Right….and now fascism. All things that are owned by the Left.
It doesn’t matter what it’s called, it’s The Big Lie.
Maybe if we can convince enough people to call them “poopy heads” they’ll give up, and leave everyone else alone.

A fascisti was the traditional weapon used by Caesar’s body guards, hence it became the name for Mussolini’s party, as his stated goal was the creation of a 2nd Roman Empire (much like the Nazi’s 3rd Reich, a German empire). The weapon was a bunch of small rods, bundled together to become stronger. Funny, someone recently used a campaign slogan of “Stronger Together”…
