CB: A federal court has handed President Joe Biden’s administration another COVID-19 vaccine mandate defeat. On Monday, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 that the administration could not require federal contractors to be vaccinated as a condition of employment.
The three-judge panel’s ruling upheld a lower federal court’s decision blocking Biden’s September 2021 federal contractor vaccine mandate following a lawsuit brought by three states — Louisiana, Indiana, and Mississippi — seeking to invalidate it.
According to Reuters, the panel ruled that Biden wanted it “to ratify an exercise of proprietary authority that would permit him to unilaterally impose a healthcare decision on one-fifth of all employees in the United States. We decline to do so.”
In September, U.S. District Judge Terry A. Doughty in Louisiana struck down the administration’s mask and COVID-19 vaccine mandates for staffers of federally funded Head Start programs, The Hill reported, noting:
In his ruling, Doughty found that the plaintiffs had satisfied the requirements to warrant a permanent injunction. He ruled that the plaintiffs — a group of Head Start teachers from across the country along with several state governments — faced a “substantial threat of irreparable injury” if the mandate wasn’t taken down.
“Plaintiff States will incur the increased cost of training and of enforcing the Head Start Mandate, will be unable to enforce their laws, and will have their police power encroached. The Court finds that this would be an irreparable injury,” Doughty wrote in his ruling, according to The Hill. MORE

This crap all started in 2020 and we’re getting ready to welcome 2023 in less than a week. This announcement deserves not celebration but condemnation for taking so damn long to recognize constitutional rights.

Dumb Bunnies, you probably know it’s not just DC politicians, it’s all their staffers as well. The Judicial branch and their staffers are exempt also.
What about the people that received the vax unwillingly to keep their job, or were fired or quit rather than submit? Mandating an experimental treatment was pure BS.
