Feds cut $167 million in domestic programs to house, feed illegals for just 1 month

WashingtonExaminer:

The Department of Health and Human Services is raiding several of its accounts, including money for Medicare, the Ryan White AIDS/HIV program and those for cancer and flu research to cover a shortfall in housing illegal youths pouring over the border at a rate of 255 a day.

HHS is trying to come up with $167 million to fund the Office of Refugee Resettlement that is accepting the youths, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.

Policy Director Jessica Vaughan said that insiders have told her that the funding crisis has forced the department to squeeze programs for money.

  1. They scream like blooody murder(or used to when we followed the law and did annual fed budget) at the thought of any program having the get by with same $ it was budgeted in the previous year, but somehow they cut from the existing budget and gathered up $167 million for a pet program. I think Mr Trump found a $167 million budget cut.

  2. LOL, but it’s Trump who is going to make war on the elderly. . . honestly that money shouldn’t have been there anyway, none of those programs pass Constitutional muster except in the minds of mushy brained judges.

  3. So let me understand this: My entire working career, I have paid into Medicare and Social Security AND my employers were forced to match those funds to the same, and MY government is raiding these funds to support refugees? Amazing. No wonder those programs are going broke, since the government can use the funds at their in-discretion.

I fully realize that funds paid in don’t usually match funds paid out, but come on, now!
Government is way past due for auditing!
