CPR: People are trying hard to pay for gas, food and housing. How does the Federal government spend your tax dollars—national defense, freeways, health care? Nope on crazy, worthless studies.
“The University of Wisconsin-Madison study aims for more women to use birth control so they can “fully realize the social, economic, and health benefits” of not having children.
The researchers will follow women using birth control for a year, hoping to discover which contraception method women like best while having sex.
“High rates of contraceptive dissatisfaction, switching, and discontinuation in the U.S. demand new approaches to contraceptive acceptability and promotion,” according to the grant for the project. “Behavioral models of contraceptive use have failed to address sexuality, even though contraception is designed for sexual activity.” MORE
I completely get the need to study the nature of everything, but it’s not right — whether the money could be spent on something more urgent or not — that taxpayers should pay for anything they did not explicitly approve. Because, given a choice, no one except the researchers would have voted to waste these dollars. And enough with writing spending bills that back-door these tax wasters.
If they would have added ‘and the impact to global warming’ to that study they could have gotten 2 or 3 zeros added to that grant.
So all our debts are paid off and we can now afford to waste money on this nonsense? Did I get that right?
The Leftists in this country and around the world view the U.S. taxpaying citizen and corporation as their personal ATM.
Save the money. Planned Parenthood stats indicate the preferred birth control method for certain women. Increased options matter not. Personal responsibility isn’t expected/required of them.
“The government will NEVER solve our problems. …. the government IS our problem!”!
True in ’82 When President said it, true in ’18 and always has been and always will be true!
I feel qualified to speak on this matter as I’ve had sex with and without contraceptives being involved.
*Ahem* “The worst I ever had was absolutely magnificent.” You’re welcome.
Now cut me a check.
