There’s a new federal program that is being piloted in Minneapolis called Counter Violent Extremism (CVE). The effort is directed at the Somali community and is based on the premise that they need additional social services to keep their young people from being radicalized and joining terrorist groups.
The program is touted as a “crime prevention” measure.
The Somali community in Minneapolis hates the whole idea because they feel it stigmatizes them as being prone to extremism.
The CVE is being called a “million-dollar program” and both Boston and Los Angeles are slated for a share of the funding to “address their own radicalization problems.”
And here I thought “Right Wing” groups in this country were the ones we were suppose to fear for terrorism.
There are a lot of us unruly retirees (meaning lots of time on our hands) here on the Gulf coast of Florida. Who do I contact in DC to ask for money to keep us from being radicalized?
Government program, yeah that’s going to fail.
It will never go away, but it will fail.
Here’s a crime-prevention plan for you, and it won’t cost much: Send the effing skinnies back to effing somalia!
