Perhaps Mamet is hoping to influence their agenda. Hope so.
If it’s a simple experiment in drawing people willing to pay for their product, then capitalism wins. If it’s a grift for government dollars, well, we have seen how profitable that can be.
I dunno, all these higher ed types starting the new Uni. It makes me suspect they could bring their old ways with them.
I love this spirit and purpose.
If I had won the recent half billion dollar lottery here where I live, I would show meaningful support for this kind of endeavor. I think communal homes schools is an idea worth exploring, too. Localized by need/request. Small by nature with growth potential.
P.S. Bought my first lottery ticket in decades just because it was stupid not to risk a dollar or two for it. I mean, C’mon, man. 🙂
