  1. Less than one hour ago, I was at Gruene hall enjoying a beer and the music. When a friend of mine, also named Michael, showed up.
I said hello and we talked for a few, then the conversation turned to tomorrow’s event. Now, Micheal is a school teacher,
(need I say more), anyway he began to say but she won the popular vote. At which point I said “We don’t live in a democracy, we live in a Constitutional Republic” and he went ballistic.
Tomorrow I’m going to buy a bunch of diaper pins and begin to hand them out to all the special little snowflakes I meet, as their participation medal.
Gonna enjoy the next 8 years as an AMERICAN.

  2. I know it was said before on this thread but I am going to say it again! As a daughter of a “brown shoe” Army vet, sister of an Army vet, wife of an Army vet, and an Army vet myself (all of us retired)–how wonderful to see such a great salute. He got to the bottom of the steps, stopped, and gave a correct salute (my Dad would have approved). No fly by salute, no salute with a coffee cup–a REAL salute! Yay!! Some times it is the little details that really show you the bigger picture.

  3. I’m happy and proud of who our first family are. We have class and intelligence and honor back into the White House. For the first time in 8 years I am confident and worry free. I’m grateful, praise God.

  4. What a beautiful family. Excellence. The word I think of when contemplating the Trump era. We just finished 8 yrs of famine, get ready for 8 years of feasting. God has given us a reprieve. Stay vigilant, pray and be grateful.
