WFB- Brenda Snipes, the supervisor of elections for Broward, County, Florida, will receive nearly $130,000 a year in pensions when she resigns from her position in January.
Snipes, who resigned after receiving intense scrutiny for her office’s handling of the midterm elections earlier this month, is already receiving $58,560 in state pensions from her earlier career as an educator, and is set to add almost $71,000 a year for her time in elected office, the Sun Sentinel reported Tuesday.
When Snipes walks away from her $178,865-a-year job, she’ll be eligible to collect almost $130,000 a year in state pensions for her combined 50 years as a public school educator and elected official.
She already earns $4,880 a month for her time as a teacher and school administrator. She has been receiving that pension in addition to her supervisor’s salary ever since she was appointed by former Gov. Jeb Bush to the position in 2003. And while we probably could all agree that Snipes doesn’t deserve a pension for her malfeasance, note that this bureaucratic government pension scamming of the taxpayers goes on in a hundred thousand places all over the country. (And then cities and states need “bailouts” when their obligations exceed their abilities to collect taxes from hard-working people who don’t have any pensions.)

At least she’s gone. The Governor now needs to appoint a fire-eater to the position with a mandate to clean up that county as well as review what went wrong (or made to go wrong) in 2018. She may well be grabbing a hefty pension but you can only put so much into your prison canteen account every month.

The republicans in Congress had 2 friggin’ years to clean up the voting process in this country, and they did nothing. Ditto for immigration. Now the stage is set for a massive influx of New Democrat voters (illegals and felons) for 2020 and no way to stop them. I hate (most) republicans even more than I hate democrats.
