Back when irons were heated on a wood stove with coals transferred to the oven or cook top and a hungry furnace in the basement. Maybe some knob and tube with bare wire to run an outlet.

grew up in a town that was founded in 1670.
We live in an area where gun owners shoot there guns into the air.
What about an indoor bbq?
Indoor BBQ is fine as long as you use Charcoal…Gas is dangerous…and
keep those doors and windows closed…You don’t want those neighbors
comin around for free food when they smell the wholesome goodness.
@bcattin: Just FYI, using charcoal grills indoors kills approximately 20 people per year, and closing windows only increases the risk:
