Priorities!
Actually, I like a good mystery. And this song has been frustrating internet sleuths for quite awhile.
This is what’s known-
YouTube- ( English as a second language grammar alert)
For those who are asking yourself what’s so mysterious about this song: Well, this song was recorded from a German radio station called NDR, between 1982 – 1984, and until now, nobody was able to identify who is the author of this song, the title, the nationality, the year of release, the name of the band… Well, not even an information about it. It’s been 13 years of search, and nobody found any information about this song on the internet. We were able to find the person who recorded it from the radio, this person also can’t say who is the owner of the song! It’s literally a ghost song from another dimension.

Only german band I’m familiar with is Kraftwerk and I don’t think thats them.
Obviously it’s that song by some people who did something.
Trio?
Da Da Da!
reminds me of the Married, With Children episode where Al has a song rattling around in his head … hmm, hmm, hmmmm … & goes on a quest to find that song
& why is this particular song ‘so mysterious’? … garage band w/ a little better skilled guitarist that myself (believe me, not saying a lot). chord changes are as bad as me; sometimes even worse (unbelievable, I know). vocals sound like bad Duran Duran … matter of fact, the whole song sounds like bad Duran Duran … ‘Berlin Calling’?
It does sound a little like Depeche Mode, though.
OK… SOUNDS like Dave Vanian of “The Damned,” and THEIR sound in THAT time period is right, but I don’t think he ever sang anything in German. Especially since they were an English band. 😳
Major thanks @BFH.
I usually think of heavy metal when I hear ‘German’ and rock in the same description as head bangers.
This is actually pretty good, I’m NOT a head banger!
The ending of that song with the high synth keyboard is COOL.
Just so everyone knows I saw this at Wictors site

“Wing Ding”
Just kidding.
Actually, I’ve been trying to find the original “Wing Ding” that was recorded in the early 60’s. My sister had a 45 of it that she won in a “Top-40” contest at a Seattle radio station. She won all Top-40 45’s that year and “Wing Ding” was in the set.
And I found it!

My mystery is solved. Thanks BFH!
Rick Astley: “Das Berlin Projekt”. Great EP.
Frau Merkel and the Stasi Drei
“Commie, Commie, love der Izlamie” Is the name of the song.
Reminds me of Falco from the 80’s. Except worse.
Or…Flock of Seagulls stole it and just took it an octave lower!
Johnny Cash???
Lil Adolph and the SS
Did anyone think to use Shazam?

ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ : You play lead, I’ll lay bass.
I can see (hear) why it hasn’t been claimed…..
“The first stage in the corruption of morals is the banishment of truth …”
Michel de Montaigne
It fooled Shazam.
Actually, I recorded that song with Helen Thomas.
We were in Berlin exposing CIA agents and we needed a cover – so we formed up a band! Lotsa good dope, good kraut beer, and frauleins! For both of us!
Good times … yeah … good times …
Klaatu
The singer in that band…..was me.
A mystery I can live without knowing.
Joe Scarborough. His tune may have changed over the decades, but he’s been sporting the same hairstyle ever since.
In a way it sounds a lot like Dire Straits. I had the Kraftwerk cassette tape Autobahn back in the mid 70’s and used to listen to it, it was good but I haven’t heard it for probably 40 years or more.
Now I know where U2’s guitarist learned to play.
