Just The News: Former Nebraska GOP Gov. Pete Ricketts was appointed Thursday to fill the Senate seat of Republican Sen. Benn Sasse, wh officially resigned this week to become president of the University of Florida.
Ricketts was appointed by Nebraska Republican Gov. Jim Pillen.
Ricketts will serve the remaining two years of Sasse’s six-year term, ahead of a 2024 special Senate election, according to NBC News.
This is how things work in Politics, but Ricketts will be much better than Sasse.
I live in the unicameral state. I have contacted Sasse multiple times on many issues. His operation was so bad that I never even was added to their robo-email list, if they even had one.
The only response I ever received was on his last day, thanking me for contacting him over the years and telling me how much he enjoyed representing me.
Good riddance.
Now let’s find Bacon another job.

They threw in Lindstrom to split the vote from Herbster, without out Lindstrom, Herbster would be governor.

Charles Herbster 80,369 votes 29.9%
Brett Lindstrom 70,166 votes 26.1%
Herbster would have had 150,535 votes.

I wasn’t comparing Pillen or Ricketts to Herbster, I was pointing out that Sasse was worthless.

I voted for Lindstrom. I wouldn’t trust Herbster with my worst enemy’s groceries.
