Former Nevada AG Adam Laxalt: Gretchen Whitmer Could Be ‘In Big Trouble’ For No-Bid Contract Attempt

Daily Caller: Former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt said Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer could be “in big trouble” for attempting to give a no-bid contract to a Democratic political operation.

Whitmer’s administration admitted earlier this week that “normal protocols were bypassed when a no-bid contract for coronavirus contact tracing was awarded by the state to Great Lakes Community Engagement, which is operated by a well-known Democratic consultant Michael Kolehouse,” Fox News reported.

“Great Lakes Community Engagement isn’t a neutral company fluent in health statistics, it’s a political operation founded by a Democratic political consultant” that intended to use technology from a firm that provides tech “for almost every Democratic campaign in a America,” said Fox News host Tucker Carlson before introducing Laxalt. “Imagine, gathering information from the people of Michigan under the pretext of public health and sending it to a Democratic campaign outfit. That’s what Gretchen Whitmer tried to do with tax dollars.” WATCH

  1. …nah. No Democrat is ever in trouble for violating any law. They’ll just say it was an emergency and you’re a science-denying racist/sexist/somethingphobe for bringing it up, and move on to the next Presidential impeachment since they’ll claim it was really HIS fault anyway…

  2. Cuomo wants to do the same thing with contact-tracing in NY, by putting Bloomberg in charge.

Contact-tracing is nothing more than GOTV for Democrats. If a Republican governor tried this crap, the Media would be screaming bloody murder.

  3. She just extended our house arrest through May 15. I’m just leaving to do some resistance. So glad my county sheriff said they won’t comply. My town is perking up and I hope my favorite Diner opens soon!

  4. Supposedly there is a poll that says that Whitmer is more popular in Michigan than is Trump. Must be polling a DNC office again.

I am also tired of that word “could.”

  5. That only happens to us plebes, the crooked bastards in DC get away with it all the time. Sort of like when the Wookie’s friend got the contract for the Commiecare Website fiasco.

  6. MJA, I couldn’t agree more. I had a bad feeling going into that election because conventional thinking was he’d waltz into the job because of his last name. I don’t think his campaign was very well run, either.

  7. I just checked the MI State Senate website and they have called an emergency meeting to take up limits on the governor’s emergency powers today. Gov. Whitmer vows to veto whatever they do. I hope they can override her veto.

I had already emailed my state Senator and Representative to do something about her.
