Jacob deGrom shuts down the Dodgers. Zero earned runs. 13 strike outs. Daniel Murphy hit a solo home run and Captain David Wright hit a 2 run single.
Wait until you see Syndergaard.
Then Harvey.
Then Matz.

de Grom needs a haircut.
de Grom could wear his hair any way he wants 😉
For the record, deGrom is on record as saying he HATES his own hair.
It’s a thing, like the beards, that has just gotten out of hand through superstition.
I don’t like the beards either. Don’t even get me started on tattoos.
It’s also a marketing tool.
Look for deGrom to get shampoo ads after this post season.
Bah! Life-long Dodger Fan and very frustrated right now. My son ad friend are going tomorrow night. Go Dodgers!
Mets fans will grasp at anything.
“and friend” I also miss the edit button option!
So will Mariner fans.
Cub fans still think Back to the Future prediction will come true.
Dontchu touch that boy’s hair!!!
😀 It’s so purty.
I’ll take that hair. Tell him to dye it dark chocolate brown first. lol
Question-does baseball go pink for breast cancer like football does?
Rush had a caller today who was fed up with it. Just wondering.
He can’t sell shampoo like that Troy Polumalalulu 🙂

Hate the Dodgers, but kinda like the LA Kings. They both lost today. lol.
I went to ‘Frozen Fury’ at the MGM last week where the Kings beat the Avalanche. Good game!
The Dodgers have been gripping for a few weeks now, so the Mets should take this series fairly easily. The Cubs had 97 wins and took third in their division – but the Cards may have the Cubs number. I like the Mets to the World Series primarily because pitching is key in playoff baseball, and the Mets do have pitching.
I like Texas to reach the World Series for the American League. Kansas City had the best record in the AL, but they clinched early and it’s tough to gear up after playing a string of meaningless games. Both Texas and Houston had to grind literally to the last day of the season, and Texas was considered dead and buried at the All Star break but ended up running down both the Angels and the Astros. Toronto is good, but the AL East was mediocre at best this year.
Mets over the Rangers in the World Series – again because of pitching, and because the Rangers generally seem to suck in the World Series.
@MLK We’re going to a WHL game tomorrow. I’m happy it’s that time of year again.
Personally, I was hoping that BOTH the Dodgers and the Mets lost. But I’ll take the Dodgers losing any day.
My favorite teams are the Giants and anyone who is playing the Dodgers.
Fur’s Mets are looking good. Hope they win the series!
Jake de From went to my alma mater, Stetson University. He started as a shortstop, coach Pete Dunn (one of the winningest college coaches ever) converted him to pitcher. Glad to see him doing so well. I’ve always kinda liked the Mets anyway, so I’m hoping they go all the way.
de Grom (please bring back the edit!)
Yep, tough to argue with anything you just wrote…damn good analysis…I’m running with it! The Dodgers hitters and BP just don’t instill any fear and Kershaw deserved better than what he got in Game 1.
