The U.S. economy grew by 4.1 percent in the second quarter of 2018, marking the fastest economic expansion in nearly four years, according to a highly anticipated estimate released Friday by the Commerce Department.
President Trump touted the “amazing” growth during remarks at the White House shortly after the report’s release, cheering a shrinking trade deficit and claiming the country is on track to hit the highest annual growth rate in over 13 years.
“We’ve accomplished an economic turnaround of historic proportions,” Trump declared. “Once again, we are the economic envy of the entire world.”
The White House pointed to the gross domestic product (GDP) numbers, considered an official economic scorecard, as a strong indication that its tax cuts, commitment to deregulation and tough trade policies have paid off. The GDP broadly reflects the goods and services produced in the country.

Barack Obama (The President we didn’t deserve) claimed to be working so hard for the country he apologized for at every opportunity only managed a 1.4% average GDP over his 8 years. Trump puts in the work, Obama golfed, lectured, golfed, lectured, vacationed, lectured. You get the picture. Plain and simple, Obama was a lazy f*ck.
How long will it take before Pelosi or some other punk dem rep claim that this GDP increase means nothing. Trump can do no right according to the resistance and they will refuse to accept any positive our president oversees. Unfortunately this is the new normal. I have hopes a sound thrashing at the midterm elections would ease the discord but it might increase it. Its hard to outguess crazy people.

And here’s the thing: oblowme didn’t have a clue, didn’t even have anyone in his cabinet who had a clue, on how to turn the economy around. He didn’t want to. He was gutting the U.S. of its jobs, its money, its pride and anything else that wasn’t nailed down. He was no better than the 3:00 a.m. petty thief, trying all the car doors as they walked down the street. And there he was on PBS News Hour, grooming stupid Americans, “explaining” why they and their children had no future in America and they were no better positioned in the world than Greece, Mexico or France. And, yeah, because there are a lot of Americans who can’t tell even the geographic differences between a country that is 3000 miles wide, has four continental time zones and sits atop the biggest oil reserves in the world, from places like France, Greece and Mexico.
