George Floyd and Derek Chauvin ‘bumped heads’ as coworkers at nightclub, former colleague claims

Washington Examiner:

George Floyd did not get along with the now-fired Minneapolis police officer charged with killing him while the two worked at a nightclub, according to a former coworker.

Floyd and Derek Chauvin used to work at El Nuevo Rodeo, and their former colleague, David Pinney, claimed in a Tuesday interview with CBS Evening News that the men “bumped heads.”

“It has a lot to do with Derek being extremely aggressive within the club with some of the patrons, which was an issue,” Pinney said.

He also affirmed that there is no doubt in his mind that the two knew each other, saying Chauvin knew Floyd “pretty well” when pressed.

Maya Santamaria, the owner of the bar, previously came forward and revealed that Floyd, who died after Chauvin pinned a knee on his neck for nearly nine minutes while arresting him, and the former officer “were working together.”

The owner was also interviewed for an upcoming CBS special “Justice for All,” in which she claimed that Chauvin “was afraid and intimidated” of black people. Santamaria explained that Chauvin was paid to sit outside in his squad car while he was off-duty for 17 years while Floyd worked as a security guard inside the club. They had overlapping shifts on Tuesday nights during the club’s popular weekly dance competition. more

  1. all sorts of things get said,

    But which ones to believe?

FWIW, did anyone recover that bill Floyd tried to spend at the convenience store and was it actually counterfeit?

  2. “The first casualty when war comes is truth.”

“The truth of these days is not that which really is, but what every man persuades another man to believe.”

We can expect no truth from turmoil.
Floyd was no saint. Neither was Chauvin.
This contretemps was orchestrated by purveyors of evil who couldn’t care less about Floyd, Chauvin, “Black” lies, or Matters. Totalitarianism CANNOT be imposed without the tacit consent of a large proportion of the population – through ennui, fear, or the perception that a few thousand prancing fools brings civilization to its knees.

  3. Hey! Let’s all pretend Chauvin murdered Floyd because he was black even though there is no proof!
And lets all pretend that blm and antifa aren’t just two big criminal terrorist organizations!

  4. The conspiracy theories are flying around so much you’d think this story was an airport. I read the club was laundering counterfeit money, Floyd had some funny money in his possession, Chauvin was ordered to “take out” Floyd to protect the launderers and afterward the club was torched to cover it all up. It’s insane.

  5. @WDS – been reading the same shit…crazy.

And to add, any evidence about any investigation is, or was, in the 3rd Precinct AND the laundered money, CHINESE, counterfeit bills WAS IN THE PRECINCT HOUSE.

    Either destroyed or looted.

  6. What is not insane is that Floyd had an extremely dangerous mixture of fentanyl and meth. Fentanyl by itself can kill you What happens when you mix it with meth? Im guessing that it becomes even more dangerous. And then theres that small detail of CAD. How serious was it — 90% block of the LAD? Because just roughhousing with your 15 year old son could kill you. I know, I went into the hospital for a stent or two. The angiogram showed a 90% block of the LAD, so they decided on open heart. They told me …

Dont leave the hospital because if you were to combine fentanyl and meth and then get into a violent confrontation with four
cops, resulting in one cop kneeling on your neck for 9 minutes, there’s an outside chance, however slight, that you could suffer complications.”

Just kidding. What they actually said was,”You could have a heart attack in your sleep”

  7. WOW! Click through to the link at the bottom, which takes you to the Washington Examiner’s long story. Then go to the very bottom. There were get to this “update”, WHICH COMPLETELY NEGATES THE WHOLE POINT OF THE STORY:

“ UPDATE: Pinney retracted his story about tension between Floyd and Chauvin on Wednesday, telling CBS News that the man he believed was Floyd was actually a different black man who worked at the bar.”

  8. @Ed357 – That as well, and based on that I am wondering ‘what’s up’ in a place like Portland, Maine??

Something, we don’t know exactly what, got ‘out of control’ with Chauvin and Floyd and Chauvin was ‘told to take care of it’, the problem he and Floyd ‘created’, in something being outed, becoming public.

Also, why as a tainted police officer, be kept around, even protected in some way, IF he was not some type of higher level enforcer?? Maybe Floyd was being stupid by being VERY high in public WHILE trying to pass counterfeit bills??

AND, there may have been some type of ‘other’ trafficcing going on in that club…

That’s how far I am digging into this. Something is VERY rotten in Minneapolis.
