  1. 💢 GASLIGHTING 💢

    /ɡaslīt/
    verb
    gerund or present participle: gaslighting
manipulate (someone) by psychological means into questioning their own sanity.

Spread this around the internet. This “HATING WHITENESS” around college campuses is an attempt to call white people violent hating racists, and then eventually, the left wing will taunt and provoke them with 1000 cellphone cameras, and sticks, and pepper spray, until they CRACK and act violent and crazy then the left wing will say, “SEE! We told you they were violent and crazy, look at this video!”

  2. Uncle Al, that could be a problem.
The entire Gettysburg Battlefield is a widespread area with regular public roads passing through it in multiple spots. Protecting the entire Battlefield Monument would be an overwhelming task, especially 24-7.

  3. HEY, BLACK PEOPLE!! WHY CAN’T Y’ALL BE LIKE WOODY STRODE?? UCLA TRACK AND FOOTBALL ATHLETE, GRADUATE, WWII VET, FINE ACTOR, NO CHIP ON HIS SHOULDER, LOVED THE USA!! A GREAT AMERICAN WHO REALLY DIDN’T GET THE RACE THING!! GET OVER IT, MOVE ON, FOR GOD’S SAKE!!!!

    INTRODUCING WOODY:

“We were unconscious of color. We used to sit in the best seats at the Coconut Grove listening to Donald Novis sing. If someone said, “there’s a Negro over there,’ I was just as apt as anyone to turn around and say ‘Where?’ I had a black principal in my grammar school when I was a kid. On the Pacific Coast there wasn’t anything we couldn’t do. As we got out of the L.A. area we found these racial tensions. Hell, we thought we were white.”

  4. Lincoln went to war to hold the union together. He worked to save the union regardless if no slaves – or all slaves – were free. Abolition came later. In fact white northerners were shitting their pants about black civilians moving north, the republicans lost the midwest in the congressional elections of 1862

  5. Attention IOTWers. Please do not use $1,$2,and $20 dollar bills. The have slave owners on the face. Send them to BFH for proper disposal. Snail mail address on the right.
I’ve been to Gettysburg 5 times with the family over the years.
I hope it is well protected from these slugs who may want to harm.

  6. Went to Gettysburg for my 13th birthday, in 1963.
    That is sacred ground.

Perhaps a very efficient way to destroy an organism would be to rip the scab off a festering wound and introduce filth. Such is what is going on with this ‘cleansing.’ The Civil War damaged our country and, even on this day, the healing is not yet complete. The wound is being re-opened and aggravated, to kill the host. Sane minds must prevail.

As a part of the healing process, this Sculpture was dedicated in the 1990’s. Though some may not comprehend the sentiment of the memorial, it is appropriate.

  7. Also went there with family as a young teen. My brother and I were both civil war buffs. Have since visited a few other places, lookout mountain, Andersonville prison etc. Still hope to see more.

  8. I am the great-great grandson of a twice-wounded Union veteran (Chickamauga was one, and if I remember correctly the other was Stone’s River). Now that may not mean a damned thing to anyone but me—and I’ve never visited either of those battlefields, to my own shame. But I go to Gettysburg a LOT. It’s a 6 hour drive from my home, and for me, it is the most spiritual place I’ve ever known. I’m not a particularly religious person, but every time I go to Little Round Top, or the High Water Mark, or the Eternal Light Peace Memorial and look out over those hills and fields, I feel closer to God and more at peace than at any place I’ve ever been.
They’d best not fuck with my happy place.

  9. I think that Reenactment Enthusiasts should station themselves year round around and put a few minie balls through a few agitators if they show their sunken chests.
And if they come in force, they should be met with a joint infantry charge and go to the modern equivalent of Andersonville, …if they live.

  10. I’m glad my family steered clear of the Civil War as Kentucky residents and non slave holders.

They carried that sentiment into MO. and NE. when the West was starting to be settled.
