What is Giving Tuesday?
wiki- Often stylized as #GivingTuesday for purposes of hashtag activism, it refers to the Tuesday after U.S. Thanksgiving in the United States. It is a movement to create an international day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season. Giving Tuesday was started in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation as a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season (Black Friday and Cyber Monday).

Every time we get a pension check, they take out taxes – we gave. Every time I buy gas, I pay a tax, I gave again. Every time I buy an item at the store that isn’t food, I pay a tax. Every time I cross a toll bridge, I pay again. So, these do gooders asking me to bend over, I give them a smirk and tell them that I give back every day. It’s called legalized theft.

When I heard it,.I thought it like another United Nations excuse to beg for money. It is exactly what I thought.
they could start reducing some hundred thousand dollar a month salary, fewer cars, fewer drivers, less bribery, less corruption. They are definitely not what they pretend to be! Puck ’em!

My day at the range is Tuesday I’m giving back part of the ammo I bought.

“Giving Tuesday”? I thought it was “Gimme Tuesday.” LOL! Another made up holiday like that kwanza thing, and turning the day of remembrance for 9/11 into a “Day of Service.” No thank you.

I donated to the Dachshund Rescue where I got my Taffy. And IOTW gets an auto-pay every month. Both are worthwhile causes.
Donations should be from the heart, not from the guilt.
Since I already participate in iotwreport donations ;-), I celebrated Giving Tuesday by donating a case of dog food to my local no-kill animal shelter.
