Hard to believe in 2017 that something like this could win an art show.

Outrage as a GOLLIWOG doll wins the ‘Judges Choice Award’ at the Royal Adelaide Show.
A black Golliwog doll has won first prize at Adelaide’s annual agricultural show.
Despite its racist connotations, the Royal Adelaide Show endorsed the ‘Judges Choice Award’ in the ‘Teddy Bears and Friends’ category.
The prize for the handmade doll with fuzzy black hair was sponsored by a suburban community group called Bears and Friends, even though the design hails from an era when white people wore black make-up to mock African Americans.
ht/ fdr in hell
Can they get the robot narrator to do this story again, in the voice of the Kingfish from Amos and Andy?
Never heard of that Character or doll
The Royal Adelaide Show is in South Australia.

How cute, an Obama doll.
Br’er Rabbit say “Dat’s a Tar Baby!”
Do they have African-Americans in Australia?
LOOK!
It got a Nobel Prize too!
The United States, doesn’t have any African Americans.
Either you are American or not.
If you are not, you may be in the NFL, BLM, Antifa, Democratic Socialists of America, Communist party or the democrat party.

That YT excerpt is absolutely twisted! From the Daily Mail article: Golliwog dolls, which mimic blackface African-American minstrels from the 19th century….
Mimicry is NOT mockery.
But that’s how the Left wants you to think.
This site’s an educational resource like none other. I looked into Golliwog and found this in Wikipedia. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golliwog
Being the Fallen Creatures that we are, everyone of every stripe of humanity has, at one time or another, been the butt of some kind of -ism. Some of us just didn’t let it become our destiny.
They see racism. I see a cute minstrel doll. I will, however, reserve some antipathy for Barbie with her tiny waistline, big bazooms and a closet stuffed with trendy fashions.
Some people just have nothing of any importance in their lives.
Like – could the toast have stayed in the toaster another 2 seconds?

Wavy or Original?
Where’s Knucklehead Smith when you need him?

“Holy Mackerel, Andy. We done finally got da’ respect we be deservin’ of. Ahwah, Ahwah, Ahwah!”
There certainly are African Americans. I worked with a white one a few years back. He was from J-burg.
In the USA if a doll like this won we would have riots and looting in about 50 cities. I’m sure most of the looters would be Amish.
Similar topic. The town of Chester, NH hosts a Scarecrow Festival each year in October, where residents can buy ‘Scarecrow Kits’ to decorate however they want and put it out on their property. People spend the weekends traveling all over town taking photos of all the clever designs and characters.
This year one of the residents decided to do a tribute to Michael Jackson. This apparently raised the ire of one resident who found the Jackson scarecrow offensive and deemed it should be removed.
Another resident, as a sort of jab in the eye to this lady, set up several scarecrows in a large crayon box with different colored hats representing the crayon colors, then posted in the town forum that he did the Jackson scarecrow one better by creating an entire box of scarecrows of color. The original offended complainer went through the roof!
Now the local newspaper and TV station have been called in to report on this entire ‘racist hick town’ in southern New Hampshire.
looks like Al Jolson…mammy how i love ya…
My oh my, tattle-tail gray!
Peter the Bubblehead, I know personally of at least one Mexican American citizen in Australia. One of my spirituals sons who is Hispanic moved to Australia about 15 years ago on a mission project. He stayed and married a beautiful Australian lady and they now have 3 kids and he became an Australian citizen a few years ago. You might say that he’s now and an Mexican American Australian but he has adopted well to being an Australian first and foremost. He was like an Mexican brother from another mother to my son and daughters when he lived with us nearly 20 years or so ago.
