5. If I was his attorney, I would adamantly insist his client knocked her out intentionally to get her out of harm’s way. She posed a clear and present danger to her own safety. After coolly and calmly assessing the situation, his client’s only rational action was to make sure she was not in the arrestee’s line of attack with a concealed gun or other weapon(s). His client should be commended for having saved this woman’s life. His client reacted with utmost expertise and precision under extreme and dangerous circumstances. He is a credit to the NYPD and his profession.
