Any criticism leveled at the left is immediately viewed through the lens of what the lefty’s identity is. If there is any “hay” at all to be extracted, no matter how flimsy, they will leverage the hell out of it.

The left’s dream candidate would be a black transgender Jewish native American with a disability. This, in their minds, would be immunize them from any disapproval whatsoever.
The Democrats have few ideas, and the ones they do have, such as higher taxes and more regulation, aren’t popular with real Americans. So the only thing they can do is yell some sort of “ism” in an effort to stifle debate.
Except that playing the race, sex, gender, etc. card ran too thin during the Obama administration. Unless it’s a white male running through the street in a white hood clubbing black people, no one is paying attention to claims of racism. The LGBT movement has careened into loonyville, and is actually being undercut by the #metoo movement because a lot of these people are, well, nuts and sexual predators. Even the #metoo movement is descending into absurdity because Hollywood, the politicians and the media are starting to protect their own, rights of the accused are being actively ignored and the Kavanaugh circus shone a very unfavorable spotlight on these activist cockroaches. Leftists took what initially may have started out as legitimate issues and drove them off the cliff through hyperbole, hypocrisy, violence and civil unrest, and just plain craziness.

Jeff Bezos bought the Post with some pocket change and told them to turn even more left and to feel free to hire racist (as long as they were black racists) writers and have at the conservatives. Think about that anytime you buy something from Amazon, Then pick up your phone and speak to your congressman (with luck they’ll be GOP) and demand an anti-trust investigation into Amazon Inc with a view to breaking it up.
