Government Boondoggles That Could Pay For The Wall

With all the concern over the spending of $8-15 billion to secure our Southern border, perhaps a look at other ways our government has been spending our tax money is called for.  Here are ten examples of government spending, any single one of which would easily pay for the wall with money to spare.

  1. Drive along any federal highway and you will see sound barriers along the sides in the heavily congested areas. The total length of all these barriers far exceeds the intended wall on the Mexico border. They were originally intended for locations where the highway was installed AFTER a dwelling was already there. The rules have been twisted over the years so that now ANY construction along a highway (including bridge rebuilding) justifies the barriers, even though houses or apartments were put up AFTER the highway was originally built.

  2. Amen to navigator — the communist liberal left-wing nut jobs *never* question the cost to the taxpayer of any of their causes or pet projects. NEVER. Further, if you confront them with the fact that we have a $20T debt, they often shrug their shoulders and explain to you that it does not matter, for some woolly-headed reasoning I never have found convincing.

  3. The cost is well worth it to me…. i wouldn’t let a stranger in my house so why should we allow strangers in our country. Force the legal process to keep stranger danger out of my neighborhood. ..

  4. im thinking of just sending my state taxes this year to the Feds and telling the state they can collect it from the Feds. And then sit back and watch the libs heads exploded. Like in the move scanners. Now that’s entertainment!

  5. I wouldn’t let a stranger in my house… i would hope our government would not let strangers in our country…..i would go for paying for the wall to prevent “stranger danger”

  6. Don’t gore Harry Reid’s “Cowboy Poetry” ox.

As a matter of fact, review every Senator and Congressman’s non-essential “Pork Projects” that benefits and placates every special interest group at the expense of the rest of us.

There are no shortages of waste and corruption in government to choose and cut to reduce taxes, pay off the debt, build the wall, bolster our defense or build our needed infrastructure.

  7. Illegal aliens cost federal, state and local governments well over $100 billion per year for their care and feeding. Building the border wall and reducing the illegal alien invasion by just 1% is a sure fire money saving strategy.

  8. Stop illegals from getting taxpayers aid. Welfare, EBT, etc.
immigrants get 103 billion per year in welfare. They’re not supposed to come here and be a burden. My parents in the 60’s had to have a sponsor and sign forms declaring that they would find jobs and NOT be on the government dole i.e. our tax dollars.
At least cut the illegals welfare…….wall paid for. Why is this so hard? They will probably leave if their sugar daddy……us…..cuts off their sugar.

Excellent point and one that should be used by Trump and all of us pro-wall people!
