Goya CEO Bob Unanu Discusses Food Production, Security and Sustainability

CTH

Goya Foods CEO Bob Unanu appeared on Fox Business earlier today in order to give a bigger picture review of the current status of food production. Unanu does a good job outlining how the interconnected systems from field to fork impact consumers.  The Goya CEO appropriately outlines what is happening and what the consequences are from Biden energy policy.  It’s a good interview.

Unanu does not push food alarmism and accurately states the U.S. food production system will ensure that food is available for U.S. consumers to purchase, albeit at higher prices.  The people most at risk from food insecurity are developing countries who rely on exports of food products generated by efficient, productive and exceptional farming operations in North America that feed the world.

For U.S. consumers it is the massive increases in energy and transportation costs that are driving up food prices, putting the issue of food insecurity into the correct context of food affordability.   WATCH:

  1. Good thing I saved my mother’s World War II thrifty cookbooks.
Grow your own food if you can. Even if you don’t have a lot of property or a good sized yard vegetables can still be grown in containers, old trash cans, etc including potatoes. Learn to can. it’s not hard. Buy supplies now as some places are already low on lids. Try thrift stores for the jars.

The day the Pedo was named as Resident we started slowly buying extra each trip to the grocery. Obama actively hated Americans. Joe doesn’t give a fumbling fig about us. he’s all about enriching his family and to Hell with us commoners. Fortunately we have a small freezer and a root cellar.

One of my prepper friends did give me his recipe for roasted coyote with enough barbecue sauce. One galloped by the deck earlier and I was eye balling him/her as a future meal. Better than Spam? Who knows.

  2. The 3rd worlder’s will be the slaves of the elite. If you look you’ll see the jab rates are way lower in 3rd world countries. Somehow these WEF’ers and NWO assholes think they can run the world with slave labor, while killing off educated, independent, productive groups of people. Time to adjust my tin foil hat so I can get better reception.

  3. Things are getting serious.

There is a particular Garlic Stuffed Olive I like to buy for my Gin Martini’s. They are second to none. Believe me, I have tried.

They are Large & stuffed with a whole clove of garlic and sold as a house brand at a chain grocery store. They have been out of stock for about 2 months & also “Low Stock” online. (Shit outta luck)

I have tried Pimento, Almond stuffed, Mezzetta Queen olives, Fetta Stuffed, Blue Cheese Stuffed, & other garlic stuffed.

    The situation is dire friends.

FWIW: Presidents Choice/ PC OLIVES STUFFED WITH GARLIC at Loblaws Canada

Cheers, I’m saving the last 2 for my father when he shows for dinner this Sunday

  4. Big (as in BIG) corporations don’t really have any loyalty to family, community, country. They already sell out American jobs to cheap foreign labor, they will gladly sell food to the highest bidders. Excuse my cynicism.

  5. @Goldenfox You’re going to need all the high carb food you can get just to sustain life if these moron Dems don’t fall by the wayside come election day.

PS I have that cookbook too. I have thrown many cookbooks away over the years but that one’s a treasure.
