My Oreck XL used to occassionally and without warning disconnect the dirt bag during use, making a huge mess. I tried various things to fix it over the course of the years.

I finally did. I put a sign on it. Free Vacuum and left it at the dump.

  2. ^ Someone let the air out of the bag.

Which brings up the scientific question, why does ordinary household dirt stink only after it’s been in the vacuum cleaner for awhile?

I gotta clean up around here.

  3. Everything Roomba supposedly said was filtered before we heard the crumbs they released for consumption. Garbage!. Trust nothing, the truth was swept under the rug.

  4. Speaking of other garbage from iRobot, I once owned a Looj. A remote control powered tractor treaded device with an auger in front that had rotating rubber flappers. It was supposed to clean rain gutters.
Yeah. If you only have dry leaves it worked. Little sticks, pine tags, and such were too much for it.

It was great for freaking out the cats, though. They would shoot 4 feet in the air if you timed it right.
