KSL/Utah — A West Valley man was charged Tuesday with two counts of aggravated kidnapping for allegedly tying up two teenage boys, one of whom was naked, and holding them captive for several hours after he believed they had disrespected his daughter.
Mohamed Shobi B. Mohamed-Sidik, 46, is also charged in 3rd District Court with two counts of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and two counts of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony.
Mohamed-Sidik allegedly tied up the first boy sometime after he came to the house around noon on Aug. 16. The boy told police he had been invited to the house and had gone into the bedroom of Mohamed-Sidik’s daughter.
“(Mohamed-Sidik) became angry and asked why he had disrespected the daughter,” court documents say.
The boy was allegedly tied up with wire, while naked, to a chair. Mohamed-Sidik also “threatened to place chili powder” on the boy’s genitals and to make him drink water mixed with blood, charges state.
“(The teen) stated that (Mohamed-Sidik) held a large knife to his throat and told him that he would kill him if he yelled or screamed, or if he didn’t apologize for the disrespectful way he talked about his daughter,” according to the charges.
Later, court documents say Mohamed-Sidik forced the boy, at the threat of killing him, to call his friend and get him to come to the house. The second boy told police he came to the home, 1085 W. Parkway Ave., around 3 p.m.
The boy was under the impression that he was there to help with moving a dishwasher, court documents say.
“(He was) directed downstairs, where he was pushed from behind by (Mohamed-Sidik). … While (being) bound, (the teen) stated that (Mohamed-Sidik) threatened to kill him with the knife and was told that (he and the other teen) needed to apologize to (his) daughter,” charges state. “(The boy) stated that he was unaware of how (Mohamed-Sidik’s) daughter was treated badly.”
The second boy was clothed while held captive, according to the charges.
The boys’ exact ages are not detailed in court documents. A call to West Valley police for those details was not immediately returned.

But you must understand that we have customs here in America, as well. All we want to do is make sure that you treat our boys with respect. So it is reasonable for me to sentence you to 10 years in prison for being disrespectful to our customs.”

I’m going to call this a step in the right direction. His daughter was dishonored but he did not murder his daughter. That’s GREAT! Wonderful! Major improvement especially considering his name is Mohamed.
Would that he not did what he did to the boys. Speaking as a father of 2 daughters I understand he wants to get the word out that is daughters are not to be treated like typical secular sluts. I get it but he needs to be more subtle in his approach. Spank him with whatever the penalty is and when he is out in whenever time just add that he needs to modulate it down a couple of settings and all will be well.
I try to be positive whenever I can. No body is dead. No limbs hacked off. Just some refinement in his technique and all is well.
