I THINK SHE HAS EARNED THE ENTIRE ROW PLUS EXTRA SNACKS ON SOUTHWEST AIRLINES

What a great singer!
No breathy, auto-tuned mess. She belts it out! What fun!

Wow! That lady has a great set of lungs and talent. She could sing any song and it would be in a Billboard Top Ten List. Love to hear her sing Janis Joplin’s hits.
Why hasn’t this lady well known? She’s great.

Wait a minute! The saxophone player is outstanding. He can wail.
So many talented singers and musicians not getting the attention they deserve.

good eye 99th … the sax player pulls out a soprano sax & plays it simultaneously(!!!) w/ his alto sax
the singer reminds me of someone else … but, I can’t place it at the moment
she’d do Janis well … ‘Bye, Bye, Baby Bye By’ … Janis was more ‘gravely’ & has a more pained expressive tone. this lady hits the note a bit better, but I do love me some Janis, indeed I do

Good stuff!
Just out of curiosity, I put on Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New years eve.
There was just some female rapper on called “Megan Thee Stallion”. I shit you not!
To say it was garbage would insult garbage.

Great saxophone work, but I prefer Elvis Costello’s version best.

ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ. Agreed. Good observations. In general, I was thinking the same things.
You know who else she sounds like?…Etta James. You’re right though. There’s no one truly like the original artists, even though this singer has the pipes.
BTW, Happy New Year!

I love Postmodern Jukebox.
This woman..what a voice! What a band!
I can’t believe Elvis Costello did a cover of this in 1978. Doesn’t seem that long ago.

Oh. Another one of those transgenre songs.

I always say that if you are going to do a cover of someone else’s song, make it unique and make it your own. This woman definitely succeeded. Bravo!

I love Postmodern Jukebox. This is just excellent!

I don’t hear what you all are hearing.
What a nice break from the mantra or Divide, Divide, Divide and Destroy, Destroy, Destroy from this current political climate!!
BTW I never say someone play two saxophones at the same time before!

Franklin shit on Grace Slick a little bit… maybe a lot. And I was in love with Grace Slick.
My Brother hates Janis Joplin, but I have to posit,
