Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
I am either clairvoyant or he died days ago…
I loved this guy and his show. We sure could use some roll models like this guy today.
Yes, the article said he died on Friday, 1-15-16.
Damn, I was hoping for the former…
I went to school with his daughter (I know, I know, that’s growing up in Malibu), didn’t know him but friends have been saying what a nice guy he was. And learned that unfortunately the daughter passed away a couple of years ago.
good clean american, no dirt on this guy
rip dan
Hey Dan, when I was 5 my family went to the Boat Show down in L.A. Well at that time I went every where with a plastic double holster rig with two shiny plastic Mattel Single Action Army plastic cap guns. My hero back then, Cheyenne. Clint Walker. He was at the show and my parents had pictures of him with me hoisted over his head. Can’t find them now. Another inspiration.
Maybeee….
nothing wrong with malibu, know it well
graduated from pacific palisades high school, set the record for swats before they did away with corporal punishment
had to be good at something
Ha – when I was at Malibu Park I was on the Fire Squad one year. We had a new principal that year, so the dean was introducing us. He got to me last, I was the only one he didn’t know and I’d been there 2 years. He said, ‘I guess this one never had to be sent to my office!’
Brad: My wife and I ran into Clint Walker and his wife at a Red Lion in Elko NV a couple years ago. Had a good conversation with them. Very nice people, and good conservatives. He was one of my heroes growing up too. Still is.
I guess he has a ranch in Grass Valley. Less than 45 minutes from me. Guys like that shaped us all. Right was right and wrong was wrong. No sympathetic vilons. I sure miss those days.
Meanwhile, Gentle Ben could not be reached for comment but the publicists for the Kodiak Grizzly said that the mighty ursus was in mourning.
Except of course for that whole cocaine thing in the 80s….
Unfortunately the Progressives made Ben Politically Correct.
Now he’s Genital Ben…
I think I meant anatomically correct…
where’s my coffee!
RIP
Enjoyed his show.
I really liked this guy. My mom even liked his show, and you can’t get a higher endorsement than that.
Did you know that Dan helped trick out the Captain America chopper used in the movie Easy Rider? He also restored that Harley after the wreck in the movie.
